Originally, I wanted to wear that very-fun-blue-snakeskin-toggle-chain belt to work, but I didn’t want the wrong kind of attention. Β True story: A couple of years ago, I decided that NUDE FISHNET stockings would be a good idea for work. Β Since they were nude, I rationalized to myself that it cancelled out the FISHNET part of the stockings so it would be work appropriate. Β I got quite a few comments that day. Β And the NEXT DAY, a physician approached me, glanced at my legs, and said, “Awe, no fishnets today?!” Β I was absolutely mortified. Β At work, I want to be respected and noticed for my competent clinical abilities and NOT my attire.
The Style Rx for a happy and healthy work outfit: Β Keep party attire for the happy hour AFTER work. Β No halter tops, mini skirts, or fishnets!! Β If you are questioning whether an outfit is work appropriate, then it’s probably not! Β This is just my humble opinion. Β If you are in the retail/fashion industry, this probably doesn’t apply!
P.S. Did you notice I used analogous colorsΒ as mentioned here? Β Green and blue are one of my favorite color combos!

Don’t worry your not the only girl to make a fashion mistake. I once wore 6 inch heels to work in hindsight that was not the best idea for my feet or for the attention they got me. I like this look it works great for day and night!

When I read “Now & Later,” it brought back memories of now & later candy I used to love as a child.

Love the story about the nude fishnets! Mainly because I’ve managed to justify my countless faux pas in the past the same way, where x cancels out x, haha. Thankfully I do work in an industry where we can pretty much wear anything (as long as it’s decent!) :) Love the way you styled the green dress, and those valentino heels are hot!
