Happy Monday GlamFam! It’s Fall. Kids are back in school. Schedules are busy. You’re tired. Even if you’re brain isn’t working, you still want to look nice! I get it! Enter the MATCHED SET! This is my no brainer for outfit ideas since I’m always running late! This trick helps me look polished and put together with minimal effort. One of my favorite things is getting “Glam in 60 seconds” and this is literally one of my best style secrets and SO EASY to do. All you do it match!
Side note: I’m FINALLY publishing this post about the matched set (which I started last month). Thank for letting me know what you wanted to hear about on social media! I always love hearing feedback or suggestions that would serve you! :)
When I say match, I mean easy peasy lemon squeezy! You can buy matching print or solid tops and bottoms which create a jumpsuit or dress effect and elongate your silhouette. Either way, all you will have to do is add accessories and then you are good to go! And accessories are my favorite way to change the look of an outfit!
The outfit shown above is from Allison New York and is a top and skirt. I’ve worn it countless times and literally get compliments EVERY SINGLE TIME I wear it (and it’s been way over 6 times – almost a little embarassing because I reach for it so much). Most think it’s a dress! I’ve worn it casually with flat sandals for a weekend BBQ and dressed up for date night! That is the MAGIC of a matched set! You can do so much with it!!
Also, the brand was SO SWEET and has offered 20% off using code STYLEOFSAM when you shop on shopallison.com!
THE STYLE Rx:
The magic of a matched set is the time it saves getting ready! One, two, and done!
Since I’m a visual person, examples are my favorite way to demonstrate this super easy dressing technique! I’ve broken it down to two categories – matching prints and matching solids!
MATCHING PRINTS
headband (look for less) | earrings | top | skirt | sandals | bag
Here is ANOTHER way that I’ve worn the above Allison New York matched set. Literally, Mr. S has mentioned how many times I wear it. He said that’s a testiment to how great it is because he usually never sees me in the same thing! LOL!
earrings (look for less) | top | shorts | sandals | bag| bracelets
This is one of my FAVORITE outfits because it is SO HAPPY! Brooke Wright is a local designer in Fort Worth to creates her own designs and puts them on clothing. My earrings are Mignonne Gavignon from Lola & Lina, another local accessory boutique on Camp Bowie! I’ve also worn this countless time and get so many compliments! People don’t realize that this is my “lazy outfit”!!
top | joggers | bag | hat | shoes | bracelets
Tribe Alive is another one of my favorite local brands that also happens to be sustainable and ethical. I LOVE this brand. This is another easy outfit with a striped open back top and jogger pants. I wore this to the park with the kids one weekend.
top | skirt | clips | bag | sandals | bracelets| earrings
LOL at my love of lemons!! Couldn’t pass up this lemon set at Tarjay and have also worn the skirt separately with a white tee knotted at the waist! Basically, this whole outfit is Target!!! I have tons of Target clothing in my closet and tend to go for the cotton separates which last seasons!
MATCHING SOLIDS
tank | pants | hat | sandals | bag | bracelets
Okay, so here is ANOTHER Tarjay outfit which is so easy – white tank top and linen pants. Even the sandals, hat (past season), and bag are Target too! Even if it gets messy, just throw it in the wash!
top | pants | earrings | sandals
These are not EXACTLY matched but close enough that it creates a very sophisticated look. The top is a Tribe Alive top (past season) and I love these paperbag waist linen crop pants from Lafayette. My friend, Connie, told me that she found a similar pair of pants at Target.
top | skort | shoes | bag | hat| bracelets
I wore this outfit on a super HOT day biking with the kids at the park. I think some consider this athleisure, but this is my workout gear dressed up with a hat and sparkly tennis shoes!
What do you think?! I couldn’t find my outfit picture from work where I usually wear a black CABI top and skirt. Again, it’s easy!
So do you own any matched sets? What’s your trick for getting ready quickly?

Happy Monday Y’all! We had a lot of Back to School parties this weekend and more swim lessons. The ONE advantage of the weather being so hot is that we can continue lessons until October, and Little M is basically almost swimming! Hooray!!
This week, Baby M is home so we are going to be running lots of errands together. She is excited to go to the veterinarian appointment for Franklin and she is also going to Grandma’s house in the middle of the week to help with her baby cousin. She LOVES babies and is the best helper, sometimes a little TOO enthusiastic to do things!
On that day, I’ll be taking advantage of a birthday breakfast with girlfriends, and I scheduled a Milk & Honey facial. I feel SO LUCKY to be a milk & honey Ambassador so that I can share my experiences and EXTRAs with you! Currently, there are THREE different ones going on! You can get an extra treat if you schedule a massage, mani/pedi, or facial by getting a promo code HERE!
What are you up to this week?!

I have one matched set but it’s maybe getting ready to be given away since i haven’t worn it in a couple of years….or maybe not. Just as I thought I loved one of your outfits the best, I’d scroll down to the next one and love it better. Maybe I need a couple more ready-to-go sets in my closet. I’ve tried capsule wardrobes where everything goes with everything and I’m incapable of adhering to that :/ My go-to would be skinnies or flares and a white tee with an interesting belt. I know…I need something a little dressier. you looked so cute in everything and I just loved the yellow and white lemon set and both pairs of the paperbag waist pants!

You don’t need something dressier – just something that makes you feel great! Skinnies or flares with a white tee is a GREAT uniform!! I love the idea of capsule wardrobes too, but actually doing them is another thing! I love mixing and matching so it’s hard to stick to 15 pieces (or whatever is alotted).
