Remember last week, when I went on and on about Garance Dore being in Dallas? Β You can’t tell that I’m a huge admirer, can you?Β Well, this is the outfit I wore to for her FIRST appearance.

Take a look at the last picture of my bag. Β You may be wondering if the kitchen sink is in there, but I was just being prepared. Β Contents of the bag: camera, macro lens {aka telescopic lens}, comfy flip flops, car keys, Karen Walker sunglasses, cosmetic bag, wallet, and iPhone. Β It’s possible that the bag weighed 50 kilograms.
Garance’s first public appearance was on the SMU campus in Dallas. Β Although I memorized the campus map, my navigation skills always lead my astray. Β Like a good girl scout, I brought flip flops to wander around the campus forΒ when I inevitably got lost. Β AND I wasn’t sure if the classroom was going to be an auditorium, so a telescopic lens was needed of course! Β Luckily, I didn’t get too lost on the way in, but getting back to the car is a different story. Β I may or may not have taken a 20 minute walking detour. Β The classroom was really intimate. Β In fact, I felt uncomfortable taking out my camera to get a shot during the question and answer session. Β Ah well, always better to be prepared! Β More about Garance’s appearance in a later post…

Yes, I wear these jeans ALOT! They are really comfy and can be dressy or casual! But I guess I lean towards dressy – heehee! Garance moved to NY awhile back! And she was in Texas for some blog stuff {I think} – visiting SMU, a personal appearance at Neiman Marcus, and I’m sure other things that are in the works!
