WHAT TO WEAR ON LUNAR/ CHINESE NEW YEAR OR VALENTINE’S DAY
RED! Not only is it the official color of February, it’s also a color that represents joy and good fortune in the Lunar/ Chinese New Year. Personally, both of these special holidays are near and dear to my heart. The color red has many meanings and lots of significance – it’s a shade that symbolizes passion, health, courage, and energy to name a few. Not to mention, it’s one of the most flattering colors a woman can wear in the fashion world thanks to its bold edginess and femininity.
If you are wondering why RED is worn on Lunar/Chinese New Year, then know this legend. It began with a ferocious beast, Nian, that would terrorize Chinese villagers on the New Year eating crops, livestock, and supposedly even children. Apparently, Nian was afraid of three things ~ fire, noise, and the color red! Hence, we see the firecrackers, dragon and lion dances, and all the red lanterns. Nian was defeated and the color red was considered good luck and fortune!

Happy Hump Day Friends! How is your week going? I am EXHAUSTED. My Little One keeps waking up in the middle of the night. Last night, she woke up twice. We only drink decaf coffee now, but I’m considering drinking some regular today! Normally, I try to get content creation done on Tues & Wed, but it’s not really happening this week!
