For those of you that just tuned in, From Grandma with Love is a twice-monthly series that is one of my faves! I’m lucky to be the recipient of my Grandmother-in-law’s beautiful wardrobe. She owned so many unique pieces, and I’ve had the MOST FABULOUS time styling it on the blog. It’s a win-win for me because I ADORE vintage and a fun excuse to wear it!

This garnet polka-dot dress reminds me of a Minnie Mouse dress in a good way! The satin finish and bishop sleeves are channeling princess vibes. I ran with that idea and accessorized with a gold headband, statement earrings, and a choker. White sandals and a white bag were a perfect complement for the white polka dots.
THE STYLE Rx: Pretty Up in Polka Dots! They’re still going strong for Summer! An easy way to “match” is wear or accessorize with the color of the actual polka dot. For example, if you’re wearing a white dress with black polka dots, then you can wear black sandals.
Even though it’s in the 100s over here in Fort Worth, this dress would be appropriate for church on Sunday. Since I’m a sweaty Betty in Summer, the pulled back hair with a headband is an easy but chic solution. BTW, here’s another solution for Summer hair!
Happy Friday Friends! I’m so happy because our fur baby, Franklin, came home on Thursday. He had to have his gallbladder removed which is kind of a big deal in dogs because their gallbladder is encased by the liver! Anyhow, he’s home and recovering so we are thankful for that. This past week was stressful for our whole family so I’m glad that we have the weekend to recover.
