Hello Friends! Happy Wednesday! I wanted to give you a quick and easy outfit idea for Christmas Dinner or New Year’s Eve! It’s one that I put together in a flash, literally! I didn’t have time to think before this shoot and just grabbed these items! And even more fun, it involves a piece FROM GRANDMA WITH LOVE.

I’ve shared my secret for getting dressed in a snap when I’m running late for work – wearing all black as seen here! When in doubt or a rush, I reach for this color as it is slimming and easy. The trick to this particular outfit was pairing a black moto jacket + black velvet midi skirt with a gorgeous burgundy crushed velvet bodysuit. The burgundy color adds a festive touch!

THE STYLE Rx: Black is an easy foundation color to build upon! For the holidays, add some pizazz with a velvet or metallic piece. Don’t forget to sparkle with a blingy necklace or earrings!

I am also wearing statement earrings and a graphic clutch which contradict my rule of one statement piece at a time. But I thought, “What the heck! It’s the holidays!”

It’s one of my favorite things to do! :) Although waiting until the last minutes seems to make it a little less enjoyable and more like a task. I’m prepping the house for lots of family and guests!
