Remember my post about the media room?  Well, THAT never happened.  Right before the baby arrived, we moved the sectional upstairs into the media room.  Not the most brilliant idea… when friends and family came to visit, we had an empty living room full of random chairs for them to sit in!  So, what happened after that?!  Well, let’s just say I got a lot of different things that I like… and it just happens to be in the living room.  It’s a conglomeration of Regal Regency, Midcentury Modern, and French Provincial - We’ll nicely call it ECLECTIC!  {This is always what Mr. S worries about – all of my “wild and crazy” ideas coming together to form an explosion of what-you-call-a-living-room!}

I started this post in October, and it was originally named Ooh La La Living Room.  I KID YOU NOT.  It’s because I KNEW I was getting a French sofa NO MATTER WHAT!  And now you see what happened… it’s just bright white and there!  Anyhow, it’s funny because I’m showing you our living room, but we will be moving this summer.  So, it will change AGAIN.

This living room seems to be a true reflection of me… all over the place in styles!  Do you have a certain style in your living area or what is your favorite style?

This dress isn’t from Grandma, but it IS vintage.  I found this gorgeous piece at an estate sale last year.  Don’t ask me why it’s taken me so long to wear it!  I love the color {hello, it’s pink} and the flowers and collar detail.

Anyhow, this was my Easter outfit!  We got to church right on time which meant only standing room.  If we don’t make it there early, that’s always the case.  The little mister decided that my earrings were great throwing objects!  Luckily, his pitching arm isn’t too developed.  The men he chunked them at were close and nice enough to return them with a smile!

I’m super excited about some upcoming events!  Headed to the rewardStyle conference this weekend.  You can follow my happenings on Instagram.  And next week is the CAbi BiG Event.  More to come on both.

Hope y’all had a lovely weekend!  Happy Hump Day and belated Earth Day!

Just wanted to share some snapshots from the  Last Call Studio Scene at Inwood Village in Dallas earlier this month!  Of course, I was attired in Last Call from head-to-toe… Lanvin necklace, Rag and Bone dress, and Valentino heels.  There were stylish peeps, sips, and sweets to be seen.  I styled some of my  favorites pieces for the Spring trends.  YES, I did leave with that bright pink DVF dress and the perfectly perforated leather dress!  {Those are part of my Five Pieces.}  What do you expect?!  You KNOW I cannot resist Last Call!

Don’t worry if you missed it!  You can find the pieces I selected here.  BTW, they are having an extra 35-40% off the entire site!  What are you waiting for?!

HAPPY EASTER Y’all!  Hope you are having a blessed weekend with friends, family, and loved ones!

Yes, it’s true.  I LOVE finding new-to-me treasures and one of my favorite sites to stalk visit is VAUNTE.  {Must I remind you… Chanel jacket, Isabel Marant dress and boots, Lulu Frost Impromptu necklace… should I go on?}

Remember way back when in November… when I mentioned a project with them?!  Vaunte featured me today, and now you can shop MY CLOSET!  Call me crazy, but there are some new with tag items in the mix.  That’s what happens when you’re a bit of a shopaholic with a filled-to-the-brim closet, new baby, and not enough time and energy to figure out how to make it all fit!

Check it out!  You know you VAUNTE to!

P.S.  You can read about my closet cravings, guilty pleasures, and proudest moment among other things.

P.P.S.  Aren’t you amazed by Jason’s photography skills?!  I was a bit concerned about b*tch face when I wasn’t smiling, but he was right and I don’t look like a grouch!

P.P.S.S.  Thanks to my cousin Iris, who was visiting from New Jersey in November, for being my personal assistant during this photo shoot!  I miss you cuz! xx

Okay, I’ll stop with the postscripts!  Love y’all!  :)

Hey Y’all!  Find me over at House of Jeffers today Monday!  Yes, I know it’s Wednesday!  Sweet Jen was having surgery and asked a few of her blogging buddies to guest post while she is recovering.  We met “in person” at the IFB Conference last year.  She is a lover of bangs and British fashion.  You’ll definitely have to say hello to one of my favorite Jersey Gals!!  And wish her a speedy recovery. xx

This past weekend was GORGEOUS!!!  It definitely felt like Spring, and that calls for BRIGHT COLORS in my books!  It was especially nice because Mr. S was home – he’s been busy with work and getting home late as well as traveling lately.  We got to have FAMILY time, which is my fave!  We took advantage of the weather and went for long walks both days!  So nice to get some vitamin D!

We also made a quick trip to Dallas to the Dwell with Dignity Thrift Studio to look at a chandelier possibility for our new entryway.  In case you aren’t familiar with that organization, they help those less fortunate by “inspiring by design”.  Twice a year, they have a Thrift Studio pop up shop with AMAZING vignettes donated by fabulous retailer, interior design groups, etc.  All proceeds go towards helping a family get a newly designed home.  Their goal is to bring good design to those less fortunate, inspiring them to maintain a standard they can be proud of and thrive in.  It’s really quite spectacular.

Happy Monday!  Hope your week is off to a great start!  Later this week… some event recaps and our living room!

How have I not posted about this FABULOUS faille Miu Miu skirt!  I purchased it last year at this event.  It just so happened that my mom was in town to see the little one, our financial planner business dinner was canceled, and so Mr. S and I had an impromptu date night in the middle of the week!  HOORAY!

I decided to be “dressy casual” as Mr. S calls it.  And this super fun and flirty skirt was calling my name.  In case you aren’t familiar with faille, it is a woven fabric with a faint ribbed pattern – I almost equate it to grosgrain ribbon.  It has a stiffness and excellent drape that makes it perfect for a skirt or special occasion dress.  You may have seen those gorgeous TIBI midi skirts around the blogosphere.  Anyhow, I’ve worn this skirt time and time again, but it’s never made an appearance on the blog.  It can be dressed up or down, which is a plus plus for me.

Style Rx:  Wear a graphic tee and circle skirt with heels for a perfect “dressy casual” date night look.  Add bling… do you really need a reason for bling?!?!!!

Happy Monday Folks!  Hope your week is off to a great start!
