It’s that time again… CHIC AT EVERY AGE. This week, we’re styling Winter HATS!
For those of you that have just tuned in, this fab collab is exactly how it sounds… a chic chick in her 30s, 40s, and 50s shows you how to style a piece in their own way. I’m working with some of my FAVORITE gals in Dallas!!
The 30-something // ME!
The 40-something // Heather of So Heather
The 50-something // Cathy of The Middle Page
Photography // Becca of Beckley & Co
Okay, so this is one of my FAVORITES because I LOVE HATS!! They are such a fun accessory and perfect for hiding a bad hair day, keeping warm, and changing the look of an outfit. We are trying to shop our closets, and the winter hat was something we all had and loved!
THE STYLE Rx: The hat is a fun accessory with so many benefits (as described above)! Go for a tonal look like Cathy and I did or contrast like Heather.
Cathy’s marbled fedora is SO COOL! I love how she paired it with a chunky sweater, skinny jeans, and knee-high boots. I was drooling over her boots! Heather is FAB.U.LOUS with her cream fedora and gorgeous fur topper over the leather jacket! That’s pretty genius, and I will be copying her!
Per the usual, I wore a monochromatic look. This is my norm lately when my brain isn’t working from lack of sleep, etc. and a great wardrobe cheat! First of all, you MATCH! Second, it looks purposeful! Third, you look chic!Another one of my style secrets is to throw on a floppy hat with a fur vest and flare jeans. It’s a pretty good fashion equation that makes you look very stylish even if you’re not trying. I’m not joking! (See this post here!)
Happy Friday!! Hope everyone had a wonderful week! Mr. S is gone on a boys trip so it’s me and the littles for the weekend!! I’m a little nervous about the logistics of getting to church on Sunday, but I’m sure it will work itself out!
P.S. Did you catch me on Facebook Live chatting about how to incorporate vintage into your wardrobe? It ended up being so fun after a stressful start! I was 10 minutes away from the store when I realized that all of MY clothes (to pair with the vintage items) were still at home! I had to drive home (35-40 minutes away), grab my stuff, and hustle back. I was late and had to run in while Tanya was talking and change super fast!! Anyhow, be expecting a post on Vintage Tex next week!
P.P.S. That’s a Fossil Q Smart Watch that I’m wearing, and it has been amazing to help me get organized this year! Be expecting a post on that next week too!

I’m not the best with hats, although my past few outfit posts from London included them, haha. I just feel weird wearing them even though I love them!
And you did a great job in the video, I watched yesterday :)

Thank you!! I know what you mean… it’s almost like you’re in “costume” when you wear a hat bc no one wears them anymore!! But I DO LOVE them!!
Stunning as always!

Thank you Liv!! Hope you had a happy holiday and your New Year is off to a great start!
I’ve only started wearing hats lately, and I wonder why?? They are such a fun accessory! I even added brooches to my hat and it got so many compliments (it was our theme this week on the blog!)
I love seeing this variety—you all look beautiful!!

Right Jodie!!! Hats are SO FUN!!! And what a great idea about brooches on the hat!!!
You wear white so well and always nail monochrome looks Sam! :)
I had a white maternity singlet (I passed all my maternity stuff onto a friend) and I’ve been missing a nice white top in my wardrobe but never replaced it as I wasn’t sure I could keep it clean. Definite outfit and stain free goals from what you’re wearing haha!
I missed the video on facebook, but I’m so rarely on facebook lately :(

Thanks Mica!! I DO love white but all of it has to be washable!!! I’m so messy myself!!
Yes, I can barely figure out FB too! Apparently, FB Live can be saved, so I shared the video in that link! :)
Y’all look great! I love hats and fur vests. Your monochromatic looks pulls of very nicely.
