If you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed a new string of hashtags {#liketkit} and links {www.liketk.it/abc}.

“What is it?” you ask.  A new app?  Some new thing that you must google to understand ?  FYI, I had to google #FML and #MCM.  Too many hashtags to keep up with peeps!  Let me tell you… it’s LIKEtoKNOW.it.  Basically, it makes those instagram pictures shoppable.

But why?  Because it’s easy AND GENIUS!  If you are lazy busy like me, then this little service is exactly what you need.  Here’s a hypothetical example.  Let pretend you’re are a shopoholic, and you are DYING to get those pair of killer heels you saw on your friend’s instagram.  She tagged Steve Madden.  When you search for ‘Steve Madden lace up heels‘, only a billion results show up and none of them look like hers.  Bummed right?  You text her and she tells you that they are YEARS old.  Even sadder.  :(  BTW, I’m a reformed shopoholic… in my dreams.  And this may or may not have really happened to me with my cousin and her killer heels!

And here’s where LIKEtoKNOW.it comes in.  Nothing really changes on Instagram.  You still double tap or “like” my photos the same.  HOWEVER, if you sign up for LIKEtoKNOW.it, then ready-to-shop outfit details go straight to your inbox.  So your lazy busy self doesn’t have to do anymore searching.

Here’s another example.  Let’s pretend that you LOVE my vintage G-ma dress on instagram.  I know, there’s a lot of pretending today.  We both know that you WON’T be able to find it.  I’ve got you covered… I’ve already found similar dresses and tagged them for you.  So when you like my instagram, those similar G-ma dresses will be right there for you.  No google searches for “vintage pink dress with little nubby flowers possibly from the 50s” going on!

How does it work?  Um… SOMEONE is asking a lot of questions today!  It’s easy peasy.  3 steps.  1) Sign up for LIKEtoKNOW.it  2) Like a photo  3) An email will be sent to you with ready-to-shop details of the pic.

How do I sign up?  Go to LIKEtoKNOW.it.  Sign up  > Authorize it on Instagram > Enter your email address.  And you’re done.  You can change how frequently you get emails {ASAP, daily, or weekly}.  I had mine at daily then changed it to weekly.  I LIKE WAY TOO MANY things to get daily or ASAP!

BTW, THANKS if you DO follow me on Instagram.  Sorry I keep posting pics of my boy – can’t get enough of him.  #SorryImNotSorry  And not all of my pictures are shoppable, only the ones with a liketk.it link or hashtag.
