It’s that time again… CHIC AT EVERY AGE.  This week, we’re talking WHAT TO WEAR TO A SUMMER WEDDING!

You RSVP’d yes! Now, what are you going to wear?! It’s a mastery of looking nice, but not TOO nice that you’d outshine the bride! This was a fun one because we all chose a dress independently which meant ‘Surprise’ time when we met up for the photo shoot!

Cathy is sophisticated and svelte in her black and white empire waist dress finished with a pair of black rockstud heels! Heather’s off the shoulder lace dress is so pretty in that shade of blue. She also wore rockstud heels but in nude. I went for a striped one shoulder asymmetrical hem dress paired with rhinestone drop earrings, a neutral clutch, and nude mules. Natalie looked darling with her bump that cold shoulder high low maxi dress. Her fun multi-color earrings made the look!

The striped dress was a little different for me as I normally wouldn’t choose a “pattern”, especially for a wedding. However, the dress was so elegantly executed that I had to get it! The midi length is very flattering with heels. Plus, it was one of Olivia Palermo’s picks for BR, and she has exquisite style!

Rules have changed and black is acceptable at weddings, but still be cautious with wearing all white or cream. We all chose longer dresses, but three of us are baring shoulders! I think that also depends on the type and location of the wedding ceremony. At my church, it’s pretty conservative so I would need to wear a jacket or wrap over my specific dress.

Happy Friday Y’all!! This was somewhat of a crazy week because of work (at the hospital and the blog) and the kids’ sleeping schedule is so off now! I don’t know what happened, but I enjoyed the sleeping through the night much better than one kid waking up the other and both crying in the middle of the night! Anyhow, I’ve got another blog thing tomorrow for half of the day in Dallas and then we are just hanging out! What are y’all up to this weekend?
