Happy Monday Y’all! Welcome to the first edition of #ManicMomDay! Every other week, I’ll be sharing an outfit that I’ve worn with the kids or running errands. This blog post series was born after y’all so graciously did the reader survey and told me you wanted MORE CASUAL! You got it! So… these pics will either be mirror selfies (for real y’all) or me using the tripod and remote. I do have a few that Angie shot (and I never posted).
By the way, the name comes from a play on The Bangles song, “Manic Monday”, just in case you didn’t get it! Let me know what you think!
WEATHER //
It was rainy and in the 80s! Just check out the frizzy hair! LOL! I think this was my second day of dry shampoo!
WHAT WAS GOING ON //
Little M had a doctor appointment. I dropped off Baby Girl at school because it’s easier to take only ONE child to see the physician – making it easier to focus on what they are saying versus half-listening while keeping a kid out of the equipment drawer. After the appointment, we went to the zoo.
WEARING //
I got this Ulla Johnson dress from Clothes Circuit. I ADORE Ulla Johnson but not the prices. That’s my secret when I want to try a new designer! I try to find it at a consignment boutique first! Anyhow, this dress is awesome because it can camouflage anything. In fact, I pulled it out of the dry clean hamper and did a sniff test to wear it. Only later at the doctor’s office did I realize that there was some kind of crusted food on the sleeves. LOL! #totalmomlife
The earrings are a recent find from McCauley and Luck! I met Stephy at The Edit Exchange last weekend. She is literally the happiest person on the planet with the cutest earrings! Anyhow, these oversized tassel hoop earrings are only $19! So cute right?! I was a little fancier since it was a mother + son day, and Little M doesn’t try to rip my earrings out anymore since he’s four!
Those Isabel Marant sandals are one of my favorites. I got them on sale, and they match everything because of the black and assorted colors on the ankle portion. I ended up changing into these Jeffrey Campbell sandals before we hit The Zoo because I didn’t want them to get rained on.
I wanted to wear a smaller cross body bag but ended up using my trusty LV Neverfull so I could throw in an umbrella and Little M’s rain jacket since the weather was unpredictable.
Hope you enjoyed the first #ManicMomDay!
Happy Monday Y’all! Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Sending prayers to all my friends and family in Houston. My mom and brothers are doing well. They stocked up on food and still have electricity.

On a nicer note, I love that dress, so much! I really want more easy dresses like this in my wardrobe – so easy to pull on and go! :)

Oh my gosh, those pictures make me so sad every time I see them. I know all of the places in Houston, and some of the deaths and tragedies that have occurs are so heart breaking.
Thank you Mica. Yes, you and I are lovers of the dress! Your maxi dress collection is so good. This is a great dress, but I still have to be careful if with the youngest one since it isn’t as long as a maxi.
I love the print of that dress! This is such a nice easy look for appointments and the zoo! Isabel Marant always makes the coolest shoes. *sigh*

Seriously girl – that’s why I have to stalk her shoes online for sales! And the print is awesome – a little too awesome… that it hid that old food! LOL!
Love the look. Never think I made it to manic mom. It was more like maniac mom in shirt waist dresses in cotton, denim and khaki. All washable and requiring very little ironing. And I styled with sandals and tapestry bags from SAS. Enjoying styling now with ideas from your blog.
