I love how a caftan dress can translate to instant glamour (think Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren, and Rachel Zoe) or a casual day at the beach. That’s the beauty of a caftan dress! You feel like you’re walking around in pajamas while you’re looking fabulous!
Vacation coming up? Spring Wedding around the corner? Baby Shower to attend? Festival that you must hit? The caftan dress will be your new BFF because you can wear it for all of these occasions!
The trick is in how you accessorize it! You can go glam like I did with loads of gold/ metallic accessories and dressy heels. Keep it casual with flat sandals and a straw bag.

The shopping fairies were with me at Saks in LA when I spotted this magnificent metallic dress on major sale which happened to be in my size! Anyhow, I’ve worn it with gold accessories for a mixed metallic look. This is what I wore to the Rachel Zoe brand meeting and the Ralph Lauren event (where I got my new fave utility jacket) that I highlighted on my Instagram Stories.

- I’m not even joking. I am COMPLETELY OBSESSED with everything from the Veronica Beard line including this flounce dress! I purchased this pink blazer and matching pants because who doesn’t need a power pink suit? Plus, I’ve worn the blazer with this dickey (20% off) and graphic tee with jeans and sneakers for a polished travel look!
- These cropped white jeans are perfect for Spring/Summer. They are high-rise (making them super slimming) and just the right length so I didn’t have to cut or hem them, and I have the light wash version. (I’m 5’4″) I also have this brand cut-off shorts. (as seen in this Chic at Every Age)
- I still LOVE my mom “wedgie” jeans, and now you can get them for 20% off! Can’t go wrong with Levi’s! BTW, these are rigid denim which doesn’t have stretch. I took my usual size 26. (Seen here and here)
- As far as jewelry goes, I’m loving all of the 90s trends that are back in style! These hoop earrings are so fun!
- Every season, I want to try this scalloped swimwear. Maybe now that it’s on sale, I will!
- I’m obsessed with STARS everything, and this dress is a stunner and statement maker for sure!
- I was late to the sneakers band-wagon, but now I’m fully on board. These sneakers are super cute and less than $60 after the sale! (Sneaker-wearing girl here!)
- These arc bags are just gorgeous, and I’m so in love with the pink!

I am loving that maiz dress on you Sam! Resisting buying it, as I’d have nowhere to wear it, but even hanging in my wardrobe it would look so pretty, haha!
Thanks for sharing your shopbop picks! I just bought stuff from shopbop the other week, so I’m a little annoyed I didn’t wait on a sale, but the pieces I got are sold out so I feel justified at buying them when I did. Now I just have to wait for the right weather to get to wear them, ha!

Thanks Mica! I couldn’t resist it. On sale, it was still a bit pricey even though it was over 60% off but I think it will be worth it! And you’re right! It does look pretty nice hanging in the wardrobe.
And darn it when you buy stuff right before a sale! That happened to me too with some beauty stuff! But I agree… it seemed justified if the items are sold out. Hopefully, the weather works out for you soon!

Girl, you can totally pull them off. I’m only 5’4”. I thought you were taller than me! Just thrown them on with some wedges (or flat sandals if it’s short enough) and you’ll be good to go! I think the waist on this one helps too but I also have one without and still love it!
