TIPS ON HOW TO STYLE RED WHITE AND BLUE (AMERICANA)
This time, we’re styling this ruched maxi skirt in Navy, which also comes in Olive. It’s ruched at the elastic waistband, which allows for multiple ways to wear, and is easy to pull on. Let’s chat about how each of us styled it.
ME – The 40-Something ✨
Your Chief Glam Officer reporting for duty! I styled this classic navy ruched maxi skirt with a little French flair and a lot of Fourth of July fabulousness. I tied my Hermès scarf into a strapless top and secured it with a Mors scarf ring (one of my favorite accessory hacks!). A white linen blazer casually draped over the shoulders added sophistication, while my mini red Bottega Veneta Jodie bag gave it that pop of patriotic color. I finished it off with clear Schutz sandals, oversized sunglasses, and a bold red lip. That was my take on Americana.
The vibe? Americana meets Parisian chic. 🇺🇸💄
PRO TIP: For online orders, purchase two sizes and return the one that doesn’t fit. Be sure to check return policies beforehand.
Heather – The 50-Something 🔥 @soheatherblog
Heather kept it classy and sleek with a knit white strapless top that complements the rich navy perfectly. She paired it with gold sandals and a metallic gold bag (hello summer glow!), plus statement gold jewelry and sunnies to tie it all together. Her look is the definition of “golden hour goddess.”
Cathy – The 60-Something 🌟 @themiddlepageblog
Cathy’s style? Think All-American cool with a fashion-forward twist. She wore a fitted white tank with the navy skirt and topped it with the ultimate statement piece—a knit sweater with an American flag woven onto the back. Add in her Dior sandals and a classic straw bag, and you’ve got that perfect mix of elevated casual and effortless cool.
Sonia – The 70-Something 💫 @stylebeyondage
Meet our newest member, Sonia! Sonia is always innovating and inspiring, and this look is no exception! She transformed the navy skirt into a strapless dress (YES, queen!!), layered on an American flag-inspired scarf, and accessorized with strappy gold sandals. The result? Pure summer sophistication with a twist of star-spangled chic.
THE STYLE Rx: A navy maxi skirt is a timeless staple you can dress up, down, and around—literally! From scarves as tops to skirts as dresses, don’t be afraid to play. Style is a celebration—make it yours.

Happy Friday GlamFam! It was so exciting to reunite with the girls and meet with Sonia for this inaugural Chic in the Golden Ages post. I’ve missed seeing my friends and being around other people. As an entrepreneur, I’m working from home most days doing a lot of digital styling and zoom meetings! It was so magical to see people IRL (in real life)! In the month of May-cember and June-cember, our lives were full of chaos and celebrations. I share just some of the activities in this Instagram post. Signing off by wishing you a beautiful and safe holiday weekend. What are you up to this weekend?
