This is WHAT I WORE to meet Joanne, the sweetest high school student who interviewed me for her Independent Study and Mentorship project. She chose Fashion Merchandising and Editing as her career of study, and I was honored that she thought of me! Not sure that I am qualified but always HAPPY to help shape a young person’s future.
That morning, I had trouble deciding what to wear. So I went for a “classic” look with a grey cashmere blazer and skinny jeans accented with camel/ tan accessories. By the way, that’s a linen tee that I’m wearing under my blazer. I’m loving those lately… they have the best drape!
The Style Rx: Grey and Camel are the perfect pair when it comes to a luxe look! It’s the NEW classic! Try an easy look a grey shift with knee high boots and you’ll be set to go to town!
What is your go-to when you have “nothing to wear”? Mine tend to be a blazer and skinny jeans.

I love that blazer! And camel + grey is a great color combo! Sadly I don’t have much of either, haha

I love your belted blazer, what a wonderful styling idea! :)
I think my go-to outfit has moved from jeans to maxi skrits now post-baby! While jeans are great, they do take a little longer to dry after coming out of another baby-required washing ;)

Maxi skirts are the best, especially with baby bc you can move so easily in them (and much easier to wash/dry)! I wore a lot of maxi dress after the little guy was born. Now, I wear jeans more often but they have to go in the wash a lot sooner bc he gets food everywhere when he eats! He’s learned how to throw the food off the high chair! :/
Oh we have just started solids and already I can see the messy potential. I bet your dog loves it when your son starts throwing food on the floor, a free meal for him, haha. I dread that day, as once Cooper figures out he can eat the food and baby figures out when he drops things Cooper will come running….a fun game for them, not so fun for us, haha!

Oh my gosh Mica! It’s true! Franklin now eats all fruits except for citrus. He never ate strawberries, bananas, or blueberries before but now he gobbles them up. And little M looks for Franklin so he can feed him. It gets really messy during meal time, but not really bc Franklin eats it all off the floor! His new nickname is “Roomba” after that vaccuum!
haha oh well, at least it’s a healthy diet for Fraklin? We gotta try see the silver lining, haha! I’ve no doubt Cooper will be getting the same nickname! :)

Thanks Annie!! Hope you’re doing well too! I wish I was going to Alt this Jan! Learned so much this past summer and met so many great peeps! :)
Sometimes we underestimate how attractive grey can be. You made it look so good with the additional belt =)
When in doubt, I’ll either go for total black or white. Easier to match with accessories I suppose. Or more like I’m just lazy to think what to match it with =D

Thanks Yen!! Grey is one of my favorite neutral colors. But I do agree that it is so much easier to match with black and white! And I totally wear the “same outfit” when I’m too lazy to think about what to match!! :)
I love everything about this look. So simple but yet so chic. Adoring those boots Sam.

Thank you Berty! I still need to wear the boots “folded down”. They have a cute plaid pattern on the inside!
