Happy Monday Loves! Sorry for the crickets last week. Baby Girl had been waking up so much that I couldn’t get up at my usual 4:30-5:00am time. I was SO TIRED and could barely keep up with normal life activities!
For those that just tuned in, I’ll be sharing #ManicMomDay, an outfit that I’ve worn with the kids or running errands, every other Monday. This blog post series was born after y’all so graciously did the reader survey and told me you wanted MORE CASUAL! You got it! The name comes from a play on The Bangles song, “Manic Monday”, just in case you didn’t get it!

It was Summer, sunny, and in the 90s.
ACTIVITY //
On this particular day, I had dropped off the littles to travel to Dallas for a Chic at Every Age shoot and then had to rush back to Fort Worth for a doctor’s appointment for Baby Girl. I’ve actually repeated this EXACT same outfit two other times when I was hanging out with the kids.
WEARING //
I LOVE this balloon sleeve top because it’s a fun play on the white tee. The bodice is a soft jersey (actual tee shirt material) and the sleeves are cotton poplin which gives it that great structure and shape. Also, it’s WASHABLE which is great because (surprisingly – not really) I got food on it while running errands with the littles.
Jeans are a definite part of my mom uniform, and these pair are so unique because of the front split hem. It gives the white tee and jeans a little extra je ne sais quoi. I got the top and jeans from the #NSale this past year and always take advantage of FRAME denim on sale!
With Baby MJ around, I tend towards minimal jewelry. I love that the choker can be worn two different ways (open back or front). Additionally, my flat slides make running after her a cinch. Surprisingly, they don’t slide off as I thought they may.
Again, sorry about only posting ONCE last week. I had such a fun From Gma with Love post too that I was going to post late on Sunday night… but that also didn’t happen. Mr. S and I were in Glenrose this past weekend for a work retreat. My mom came to Fort Worth and stayed with the kids so we could have our first weekend away since Baby Girl was born. It was really lovely to spend some quality time with Mr. S and talking UNINTERRUPTED! LOL!
Also, one of my best friend’s father has just passed. Her mom passed within the last two years. Please pray for her to find peace during her grieving process.

Oh I’m so sorry to hear about your friend. What a tough time for her!
I know how you feel with the lack of sleep too! I slept through my (multiple!) alarms for work the other week and woke up after I was supposed to have already left the house, argh! I was just so tired. Baby boy had been making great progress with sleeping until daycare lost his little lovey he snuggles with, now it’s back to 5-6 wakings a night sadly. Sigh. At least we have his cuddly lovely back.
