Every once in a while, a gal wants to get glammed up like she has somewhere important to go which requires feathers and fringe. Β That’s everyday for me! Β My mind lives in a land of fairytales, and I’d love to sit in front of the computer drinking coffee and wearing a tiara. Β Anyhow, I digress.Β If we had ventured out for New Year’s Eve, this outfit was a top contender. Β By the way, can you guess what’s under the jacket? Β It’s my trusty grey sweatshirt. Β Told you I’ve been living in them lately!
The Style Rx: Grey is the new black! Β Layer up with different textures for a chic look. Β And remember, opposites attract. Β If you’re wearing big on top, go slim on bottom and vice versa.
Grey has always been one of my favorite colors. Β It’s so serene in the home and fresh in the wardrobe. Β There are grey pieces throughout my house (my previous bedroom was grey)Β and definitely in the closet. Β It makes such a statement when wore head-to-toe. Β I love it when GREY becomes a “trend” so I can stock up on pieces!

Thanks Mica! I was completely inspired by last season’s Ralph Lauren campaign (the all grey turtleneck + maxi skirt) but I wanted a more modern take instead of classic.

Alas! Most of the grey in my wardrobe is in my hair. Going to have to work on that for the New Year. But I do have grey jewelry to wear with my black which tends to keep me from looking washed out.
