Happy Wednesday Y’all! Today is another edition of look for less. It’s this gorgeous pink one shoulder ruffle dress that is inspired by the Self Portrait Lace Frill Mini Dress. It was a no brainer for me because of the pink and ruffles.
Even though it’s pink and ruffled, the open lace and structured flare skirt give it a modern femininity. I’ve seen this dress worn with a white button up underneath which would make it work or church appropriate. It would also be beautiful over a long sleeve lace top.
THE STYLE Rx: Channel your inner femininity with this pink one shoulder ruffle lace dress. Add some edge with black booties and a moto jacket. Or keep it sweet with pink lips and blush, killer heels, and drop earrings.
Regarding the construction of the dress, I’d say it’s just okay. You can see where the top three buttons buckle, and there are some unmatching seams. It’s still pricey at $54 now on sale for $23 for that kind of quality but less than the designer price of $312. All of that being said, I still love wearing it and makes me so happy (as seen in the pics).
FIT DETAILS: I’m wearing size Medium which fits perfectly. Remember to read the size measurement (and see my advice about shipping time here). Also, one of the off the shoulder sleeves is large (and not elasticized as in the model pictures).
For those of you that don’t follow on Instagram, I mentioned my friend being hospitalized last weekend. She is one of my dear friends of thirteen years and is such a positive person. She was discharged from the hospital last night and is at home with her sisters. Thank y’all so much for the sweet words of support. Please continue to pray for her healing.
Also, I’m laughing at myself because of the blog posting schedule. This post was meant for Tuesday, but obviously, that didn’t happen! This is such a fun dress but it’s a shame the quality isn’t as good – even if it is cheap you want things to last! The pretty pink colour makes up for it! :)
