If you know me personally, then you know that I’m an EATER! I LOVE FOOD, and I’m not ashamed! So I jumped at the chance to snap some shots at one of my favorite food places in Fort Worth, Taco Heads. Plus, I’m wearing the black version of this gingham dress as a tunic top. Told you I would do it! Everything just takes me 100x longer to get done!

I met the Taco Heads founder and owner, Sarah Castillo, when we moved to Fort Worth. Taco Heads was a food truck back then, and it was the bomb-dot-com. The carnitas taco + in-house mole cannot be beat! Now, they’ve expanded to a brick and mortar that houses an awesome view of the Fort Worth skyline, graphically good decor (check out above pics), and good eats. They have a pretty extensive drink menu, but I’m a Topo Chico gal myself! (I get tipsy on less than one drink.) BTW, this is not a sponsored post. I just love Taco Heads (and Fort Worth)!
I’ve worn this outfit thrice because it’s so nice! It literally is on repeat because it’s so easy and comfortable but looks great. It’s a (mini) dress that I’m wearing over jeans for a casual chic look. I’ve glammed it up with statement earrings and funked it up with platform clogs. The off-the-shoulder dress would be super cute with flat sandals and a choker as well!
THE STYLE Rx: Dryer got your dress too short (or you bought it that way)! No problem! Just throw it on over jeans, and you’ll be set! You’ll be age appropriate AND chic!
Tell me! Do you use the dress over jeans/pants trick?
I mentioned it in the last post, but we adopted a baby girl a week ago. Honestly, I was probably delirious writing the last Chic at Every Age post. Excuse anything that doesn’t make sense! I.AM.EXHAUSTED!! We are SO EXCITED about Baby MJ, but this go round is kicking my butt! I was running on adrenaline with Little M for months since it took us over seven years to finally be blessed with him. However, keeping up with a toddler and trying to stay on top of other life things has kept me sleep deprived, so I’m running on fumes right now. If you have any magic secrets about keeping up with another little one, spill the beans, please!

Thanks Arielle!! Yes, me too!! I’m such a fan of MLM dresses like you, and this was perfect to wear as a top. It makes you feel like you are getting more for you money when you can wear it multiple ways! :)
Ooh love this! I don’t have many dresses that look good with jeans…such a shame! Haha

Thanks Meg! If you have any shift dresses, they would look great with pants or jeans! (But I did see that you have lots of cute A-line dresses!)
The dress looks awesome as a tunic with jeans, such a great outfit! :)
I think you’ve hit on the best coping mechanism already with repeat wearing this outfit. Find things that make life easier, and do them. :)
I used to iron once a week….now it’s lucky to be once a month, ha! Take all offers of help and embrace the chaos for a while – it gets easier it really does, but your only focus for a few months will be (quite rightly) your newborn baby!

I do this all the time! Some dresses were just destined to be tunics, and I wear them as so.
That dress/top looks FANTASTIC on you, Sam!
