Those around me know that I have certain tendencies, some good and some bad. One, in particular, that I am constantly working on is my punctuality. Some friends and relatives may have received their Christmas/ New Years cards within the last week. Some friends may get birthday presents a couple of months late. Better late than never?

As I mention all these lovely items and objects, I am reminded of a plaque that my friend F* has in her kitchen.
That is such a true saying in life! {I need to remind myself of that when I’m hoarding my clothes.} I’ve been blessed with wonderful family and friends. And blogging has been such a wonderful journey and learning experience. And now I want to thank some lovely ladies whom I’ve met through the bloggosphere! I’ve been honored with some blog awards and way behind on giving credit!
First, Kim of A Very Sweet Blog awarded me The Best Blog and The Versatile Blogger awards last November. In case you haven’t met Kim, she is the sweetest thing ever. I mean it! She is a Louisiana gal with a lot of creativity and love. Her new blog name is just so fitting! {This award was on her previous blog Sassy Uptown Chic! Just goes to show you how late I am on some things!}
Next, Nelah of 52 New Days awarded me the Cute Blog award! Nelah is a fellow Texan and mother of a beautiful girl. She started her blog after having her daughter and realizing that she had lost herself in motherhood. I really admire her honesty on her blog. She stays true to herself and is a strong female role model.
And Jeannie of Gracefully 50 awarded me the Versatile Blogger award! Jeannie is a loving wife, Christian, mother of two, and FIFTY! I exclaim fifty because she does NOT look her age. Believe me, Mr. S said so! She started her blog as a hobby after her children left for college. I truly hope I can look as good as her when I’m fifty. Her posts are so much fun and she usually ends them with a happy something that will leave you smiling for the day!
Finally, June of Stylish with a Budget awarded me the Liebster Blog award! June is a New Yorker with an affinity for Isabel Marant clothes. I love her carefully edited closet and edgy style. She is a wonderful remixer and great example of how it should be done!
Since I’m a little behind on the awards, I’m combining all the rules! Is that cheating?

- What is your go to make-up brand? Bare Minerals. I really like so many of their products and have tried everything from their foundations to lip glosses. However, lately, I’ve been on a kick with Le Metier de Beaute!
- What was your favourite fashion trend of 2011? Sequins! Although I am still kind of afraid of sequins, I really love bling!
- What is your favourite dessert? Tiramisu
- Favourite colour? Pink
- What is your middle name? I don’t have one. I asked my mom why I didn’t get a middle name {because both of my brother’s have one}. She said that I’m supposed to use my maiden name as my middle name when I got married! I think they just forgot it since I was the first kid!
- What’s the last song you listened to? Video Games by Lana Del Rey
- Cats or dogs? Dogs even though I have 2 cats!
Random fact I haven’t told anyone: I snore when I sleep! It’s so loud that it wakes Mr. S! I know, it’s not very glamorous!
