It’s that time again… CHIC AT EVERY AGE. This week, we’re talking skincare and makeup with Le Metier de Beaute!
For those of you that have just tuned in, this fab collab is exactly how it sounds… a chic chick in her 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s shows you how to style a piece in their own way. I’m working with some of my FAVORITE gals in Dallas!!

The gals and I were treated to a Le Metier de Beaute Spa Day, Makeover, and Master Class with Ivan Castro, Global Director of Color and Training, at the beautiful new Neiman Marcus Fort Worth. Can you say FABULOUS three times fast!! It was so fun to see my girls in Fort Worth and experience such a luxurious day with them!
After our AMAZING spa day, I used only Le Metier de Beaute skincare products with the exception of my toner for 30 days. I wanted to share my favorite products from the experience and some insider makeup tips from Ivan!
What makes Le Metier skincare so special is their patented delivery system, TPM Technology. Apparently, it delivers the active product to the dermis within SEVEN MINUTES. So technically, you can put on the products and even if you wash your face 10 minutes later, you will have received the benefits already! WOW right?
LONGEVITY CREAM //
I saw a difference within a week! I have a bad patch of eczema in the middle of my forehead. After FOUR days of using the longevity cream, it was GONE. Yes, GONE! The texture on my forehead was smooth. I was truly impressed!
A small amount (about the size of a dime) was needed for my face twice daily. It contains vitamin E, a wonderful antioxidant with healing and anti-inflammatory benefits, and 1% Resveratrol, another antioxidant found in red wine and plants, that evens skin tone and promotes radiance.
PERFECTOR //
I noticed a difference within 2 days of using Perfector on one of my dark acne scars. I don’t know if it was a combination of the facial, but within 2 days it started peeling (not in a bad way – like new skin production) and then was lighter. AGAIN, I was amazed!
A minute amount is needed only in the evenings since this is a retinol based product. I did a spot treatment on my dark spots. My main concern was about it drying out my skin, but it also contains shea butter so it didn’t! You can use it all over your skin to improve overall texture and plump wrinkles.
NECK AND DECOLLETE FIRMING CREAM //
Did you know that you are NOT supposed to put moisturizer on your neck? Apparently, the skin is very thin (like around the eye area) and your regular moisturizer will cause sagging and “elephant lines”! WTH! I’ve been doing this basically MY WHOLE LIFE! Anyhow, enter this neck and firming cream.
I noticed a minimal difference, but the lines on my neck aren’t too dramatic at this point.
You use about a nickel size amount on your neck and decollete area morning and night using gentle massaging motions upward on the neck (never downward which can cause more wrinkles). It contains Idealift (firms skin), Instensyl (smoothing and anti-wrinkle), Vital ET (decreases redness and swelling), and L-carnonise (preserves elasticity of skin).
AFTER GLOW BLUSH IN AMORE //
Y’all know I’m a fan of anything multi-use! I love that this is a blush and highlighter in one, and the highlighter can also be used as an eyeshadow! It’s a beautiful shade of pink and gold that I feel is universal. It’s quadruple-milled and highly pigmented so a little goes a long way. I usually only dip my brush on the blush once for each cheek. By the way, you’ll have to read on below to see how Ivan recommends applying blush and highlighter!
MOISTURE MATTE LIP CREME IN BILLOW //
PINK is my absolute favorite color, and this is a perfect shade of bubblegum pink!! I LOVE it! It’s a hybrid of a lipstick and lipgloss so it has great coverage but finishes matte. It’s not a matte finish where the lips look dry since it also contains vitamin E. It also lasts longer than a traditional lipgloss (since it’s also a lipstick)!
MAKEUP TIPS FROM IVAN //
- Wear blush higher up on the cheek to look more youthful.
- Buff in your highlighter (with a fluffy crease brush).
- Tight line your upper lids to make lashes appear fuller (can use this eyeliner horizontally for easy application).
- You can use bronzer as an eyeshadow for a daytime smokey eye.
- Champagne eyeliner can be used as an “eyeshadow” base.
- Two favorite lip cremes for a beautiful nude lip: mannequin and first look together
Have you used or heard of Le Metier de Beaute? I started using it in 2013 because of the phenomenal makeup pigmentation and application. In fact, I have a selfie with Ivan from back then!
If you’ve followed me for awhile, then you know that I’ve switched over to more natural skincare products and makeup. Although I cannot endorse these products as organic, I CAN say that they actually WORK. The Chic at Every Age gals and I are a team, and we decided to do this partnership as a group!
The Le Metier de Beaute skincare products and makeup were provided by Neiman Marcus Fort Worth. Thank you for supporting brands that make this blog possible. All opinions are my own, and I only work with brands that I love!
That sounds like an amazing day! How lucky you all got to enjoy it together.
I had no idea about not putting moisturiser on your neck – now I know! I would have thought it would have helped with signs of aging, just like you did, definitely an eye opening post!
