Happy November GlamFam! I’ve wanted to share more about vintage lately since it’s such a big part of my life! Ever see a woman walk into the room with a super cool accessory and wonder where she got it? Chances are it’s vintage! Even my girlfriends started saying to me, “Don’t tell me it’s vintage!” And yes, it usually was vintage! Today, I’m breaking down how to wear vintage clothing and accessories to look FABULOUS! I promise it is easy!

GO FOR THE (GOLD) JEWELRY
When it comes to fashion, jewelry is one of the most important areas to focus on, but it’s also often overlooked. Well, I’m here to tell you that it’s extremely important! Wearing vintage jewelry is a glamorous way to really elevate your outfit. It can add a chic touch to your everyday outfits, add elegance to evening attire and give sophistication to your workwear.
The KEY is that you don’t have to worry about sizing for jewelry (and the next section, bags)! Vintage clothing is often hard to translate to modern day sizing, but that is for another day and blog post! You can find AMAZING vintage jewelry in so many places – garage and estate sales, thrift & vintage shops, Etsy and Ebay. I tend to gravitate towards vintage Chanel jewelry, but it doesn’t have to be designer!

Since I mentioned my faves, I had to share some fun Chanel finds with you too! Pieces like this stunning vintage Chanel necklace are such a unique and fabulous find! As for earrings, this pair of vintage Chanel earrings are classic, and I love the elegant touch of the crystal pearls. We can’t forget about bracelets; this gorgeous edgy vintage cuff would be the perfect accessory for a night on the town!

GRAB THE BAG
One of the best things about vintage bags is their exclusivity. No more mass-produced bags that you can find at every single store. If you want truly unique accessories, finding vintage pieces is the way to go!
There are so many one-of-a-kind pieces that will complete OR MAKE your outfit! I found this cat minaudiere for $5 at a thrift store! Even though it’s missing some rhinestones, I still LOVE it! And this beautiful little clutch is from my late Grandmother-in-law (see all the #fromGMAwithLOVE series). Again, I love how unique they are but I also LOVE some of the vintage designers too!

This authentic Hermes leather tote is a great find and I absolutely love the gold hardware. I also found this bag in rouge and tan! Another great option is this vintage Gucci shoulder bag. The mixture of soft brown hues makes this bag a must-have for your everyday outfits! How about a handbag? This stunning authentic black Chanel handbag is the perfect accessory for a girl’s night out.

START WITH SHOES
An outfit is never complete without the perfect pair of shoes! There are many benefits to wearing vintage shoes, one being that they are often already broken in, so you don’t have to suffer through the pain of doing it yourself! Not to mention they usually have unique designs and are made with high-quality materials.
The ONE caveat for vintage shoes is that they run NARROW. I have wider feet so will go for leather shoes which can be stretched. Keep that in mind when shopping for vintage shoes. Check out a store or online shoes return policy if you are not able to try them on in person.

These Gucci canvas loafers are a super chic find and I absolutely love the horse bit detail on the top. Or how about these chic Louis Vuitton ballerina flats? The crushed metallic calfskin leather is sure to draw the eye, and they feature a signature brass LV logo in the center. Every woman needs a fabulous pair of heels, and these stunning vintage gold Christian Louboutin pumps are a perfect choice. With pointed toes, 4.25-inch heels, and signature red-lacquered soles, you’ll want to walk your own runway!

DO YOU WEAR VINTAGE FASHION?
Happy Monday GlamFam! This was meant to be up on Friday but all kinds of things (aka LIFE) happened! My two best friends from middle and high school came into town for a Girls Weekend. It actually started on Thursday evening and continued until Sunday with a short intermission. We went to the Chris Rock comedy show on Friday night (which was planned months in advance) and then back to the Girls. We stayed at The Adolphus Hotel in Dallas which is SO BEAUTIFUL! It went by too quickly, and we want to plan another one soon instead of 5 years from now! I hope you had a fabulous weekend!
