Happy Monday Loves. Hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend with family, friends, and/or food. This is the last of my vacation recap. We only had one full day in Paris, and YOU KNOW this gal had to get her shop on! So I planned a walking/shopping tour to do in one day! The other day in France was spent on a 14 hour tour of Normandy, which was absolutely beautiful.
In front of the Jardin des Tuileries with a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower in the background
After a hardy breakfast at Hotel Baltimore, we took the metro to the Bastille stop. We started at the Place de La Bastille and headed west on Rue Saint Antoine which turned into Rue de Rivoli. We did a quick detour into a gorgeous courtyard of Saint Paul {I think} and then headed into the Le Marais neighborhood. Thank you Grace for the recommendation! What a fabulous place! I wish I would have taken ANY pictures, but I was too enthralled by the fabulous architecture and gorgeous surrounding to think. That means we must go back!
Courtyard of Saint Paul, I thinkHôtel Sully Courtyard – thank you for the correction Prête-Moi Paris!
First, I sighted the mongolian hair jacket {in the first pic} at Tilt Vintage. Mr. S thought I was coo coo for cocoa puffs, but it was LOVE and swooning at first sight! We passed a long line at L’As Du Fallafel and decided to take a lunch. The falafel was absolutely YUMMY! The long to-go line was totally worth it. No wonder they have pictures of celebs like Lenny Kravitz and Celine Dion on their window!
While Mr. S was in line for the food {that’s how long the line was}, I hopped into Vintage Desire next door and found a leather top for 15 €. It’s so eighties and SO RAD! Outfit pic coming soon.
After our standing sidewalk lunch and people watching, we continued with the touring and thrifting. Before leaving Le Marais, I quickly browsed in Free’P’Star and bought a wool army sweater for 12 €.
Crossing Pont Royal with a sunset view of the Musée D’orsay
We left Les Marais and headed toward the Saint Germain area to find the mecca of all things Hermes and Chanel, Les 3 Marches de Catherine B. I first heard about Les Trois from Briony of A Girl, A Style. Catherine has been in business for over 18 years and specializes in finding unique and rare Hermes and Chanel items. OH.MY.GOSH. That place is a treasure trove! My eyes were going to explode from seeing all the wonderful things. Lucky for you, I DID remember to take pictures at this boutique and I took many. We didn’t get to meet Catherine that day {she was off}, but we did get to chat with her very friendly husband, Kouros. These pictures showcase some of the amazing items. You can see the rest of the pictures on my facebook page.
Although I left Les 3 Marches empty handed {I wanted to buy EVERYTHING especially that Union Jack Chanel}, we merrily headed toward Rue de Fauborg Saint-Honoré. Do you know what’s on that street??!! It’s HERMES! We didn’t make it to the store when Mr. S and I were in Paris in 2008, so it was a MUST VISIT this time. I mentioned here that Mr. S was so sweet and told me to pick out a scarf. I happily obliged! We ended our lovely French adventure with dinner at Restaurant Jamin. It was 9 hours of walking, shopping, and eating bliss!
