Even though we’re in the middle of winter, I’m looking forward to Spring and all the gorgeous prints. I am head-over-heels about head-to-toe prints seen on the runway! This graphic check crop top and culotte are no exception. Right now, the whole outfit is on sale (top for $16 and culottes for $10). The crop top was a wee bit shorter than I was hoping so I pinned the back of the culottes so they would hit right at the waist, and I would size up on the culottes (I wearing a size 6). For the record, these were taken before it got freezing cold over here! This is a wishing-it-were-Spring-but-it’s-winter outfit! :)
The Style Rx: Don’t have time to match?! Wear a print on top and bottom! Make sure one piece if somewhat fitted (or accentuates your waistline) so you don’t get lost in the print.
Lately, I find myself gravitating towards neutral colors like grey, black, white, and camel. Not to say that there’s anything wrong with that, but I’ve always worn bright colors especially during winter to battle the dreary doldrums. It’s funny how our style evolves with age and different life events. Obviously, Little M plays a huge factor in my day-to-day attire, but I always like to dress up if given a chance.
By the way, have you heard or Rocksbox? It’s a monthly jewelry subscription where you get 3 different pieces to try and wear for as long as you want. If you like, then you keep and pay a discounted price. If not, ship it back and they will send you new fabulous things!!! That adorable House of Harlow gold and black leather bangle I’m wearing was from my first shipment, and I just got a 2nd box on Monday! Can’t wait to show you those pieces on Instagram. AND I’m really excited to share that Style of Sam friends/readers get your first month FREE by using code samanthaxoxo1!! (The code expires January 31st so don’t miss out!)

Such a fun look! Sadly it’s too cold to wear it here, haha. And that subscription sounds so fun! Sadly I’m very picky with my jewelry so it wouldn’t be worth it for me

Hi Meg!!
I know – SNOW! I thought about how to winterize the outfit (with a turtleneck + another thin layer like UNIQLO top under the top and wool tights + talls boots) but I think it would still be pretty chilly!
I kind of thought the same when I first heard about it, but Rocksbox actually carries really great brands like Gorjana, House of Harlow, Lauren Hope, CC Skye, and Robyn Rhodes. However, if you have sensitive skin and can only wear real jewelry it may not be worth it!
BTW, drooling over your Chanel flap!!! :)
I love the new website Sam!! And I’m such a fan of the grid print!

Thanks Jennifer!! Hope you are doing well fellow pharmacistisa!!! ;)
Printed separates look great! I admire them on others but I only have one set like that myself, a vintage set. I love how you can get extra wear out of wearing the pieces separately as well as together :)
Also, your House of Harlow bangle is cute :) I have the same one – two of them in fact!

Yes, I love printed separates but haven’t ever really worn the “set”. I have multiple suits that I wear the pieces separately.
How fun about the HOH bangles! I saw a pic of Nicole Ritchie wearing them around her upper arm! I wish I would have tried that before returning them but maybe I’ll end up getting it.
Also, thanks for your post closet inventory post. I’m actually VERY AFRAID to do one but you’ve given me some motivation!
