Happy Wednesday Y’all. We are SO CLOSE to turning in the adoption paperwork. We were going through the checklist, and there were only two things remaining. Mr. S said that he felt like throwing up!! It’s not because he’s not ready, but it’s because things have been going pretty quickly with all of it! OH MY GOODNESS! I’ll keep you posted!
For those of you that just tuned in, From Grandma with Love is a weekly series (now more like every two to four weeks) that is one of my faves! I’m lucky to be the recipient of my Grandmother-in-law’s beautiful wardrobe. She owned so many unique pieces, and I’ve had the MOST FABULOUS time styling it on the blog. It’s a win-win for me because I ADORE vintage and a fun excuse to wear it!
This is the cutest dress and jacket set, in a very lady-like Grandma way, but I LOVE it. The mock turtleneck is a LBD that can be worn with ANYTHING. I had to wash it get the old musty smell out, and I think it needs to hang out in the sun for a bit. P.S. That’s a trick I used to get that “old” smell out of vintage clothes. I plan on wearing the dress to work soon. The brocade jacket is really unique with the side slits and back “collar”… I’m not sure what you call it!
Anyhow, it makes for a fun little set!
THE STYLE Rx: The little black dress is a closet staple. Wear it for work (with flats and a tote) or date night (with heels, a clutch, and a swipe of bright lipstick). Throw on an artsy or patterned jacket for a whole different look.

That jacket is beautiful Sam! Love the gold accessories with it. And a dress and jacket set is a new one for me! I knew of tops and skirts/pants sets, never a dress and jacket set. What a ladylike outfit idea! :)
