I was truly excited to show y’all this outfit from Mr. S’s grandma. The capelet is detachable, but I forgot to take it off for the pictures. It was a little chilly – notice the goosebumps? And THAT DRESS, well… it’s kind of a cross between Mary Poppins and school marm. I LOVE it! And of course you need to wear a dress like that with pink gloves! {Shhhhh, I got the gloves at an estate sale for $4. Why would anyone pass on that?!?!} They add just the right touch of lady to the outfit.

Such a wonderful look so chic and retro and fits you like a glove! LOVE it. How do you avoid dark contrasting shadows when shooting in sunlight, do you use an external flash for fill?

Hi Ali!! Sorry it took so long for me to reply. We usually take pictures on the weekends when we have time so sometimes harsh light is unavoidable. I try to “soften” the pictures using some of the levels, curves, and filters in Photoshop! In levels, I adjust the middle button to left, and the left output button to the right. Hope that helps!
