favorite five clean beauty tata harper creme richeHey Friends! This post has been a long time coming. I was going to do a post on EACH clean beauty product and realized it would be easier to showcase all five! Slowly, I’ve been trading out a lot of my “dirty” beauty and skincare products for clean/ organic/ vegan products. Each of these products has been in heavy skincare/ beauty rotation.

*Products have been provided as PR Samples. All photos and opinions are my own.

clean beauty fave five LXMI pure nilotica melt reviewclean beauty fave five LXMI pure nilotica melt review

LXMI Pure Nilotical Melt*

I’ve been using LXMI Nilotica Melt for a couple of months. The ONLY ingredient is Butyrospermum Parkii (basically pure Shea Butter). How much easier can it be? Originally, I started using it for my lips or INSTEAD of my evening cream when my face needed more moisturizer. An article on Reddit gave me another way to use it as an “occlusive”, and this is THE WAY that I’ve loved it the most.

Now that it’s getting colder and the heater is on, my skin gets super dry and dehydrated. I do my usual evening skincare routine (lately I’ve been using Tata Harper Creme Riche instead of the moisturizing mask) and then add LXMI Melt on TOP of it. An “occlusive” will seal in all the moisture and goodness of your evening treatments. It’s pretty amazing!!

INGREDIENTS: Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Nilotica)

I love that it comes with a spatula/wand so you don’t contaminate the product, and I use the ball portion for my tired under-eyes. And the packaging is just gorgeous as you can see above.

clean beauty fave five nkd skin gradual tan lotion medium review

NKD SKN Gradual Tan Lotion in Medium*

Holy Cow! I was SO EXCITED about this natural self-tanner when I learned about NKD SKIN tan lotion. Mr. S wonders why I don’t just go out in the sun to get vitamin D and a natural glow, and he is right! But now that it’s chilly, I can’t be hanging out sans warm clothes for a tan with the kids! This is so perfect because it gives a beautiful tan the next day and fades nicely over a couple of days. A nice glow looks so good with winter white clothing!

INGREDIENTS: Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Water*, Glycerin*, Dihydroxyacetone***, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Panthenol, Disodium EDTA, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter (Beurre)**, Tocopheryl Acetate, Sodium Benzoate, Hyaluronic Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract*, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Extract,* Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Seed Extract*, Hydrolysed Silk (Soie), Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Extract*, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Extract**, Cucumis Melo (Melon) Fruit Extract**, CI 17200 (Red 33), CI 42090 (Blue 1), CI 19140 (Yellow 5), Caramel **

I haven’t tried it but you can build a gradual tan over 2-3 days. I usually do one application, one and done, but love the results. It goes on clear (no transfer to clothes) and is odorless. In case you haven’t tried a self-tanner, you must exfoliate (especially rougher spots like you elbows and ankles). Apply it with the tan mitt and voila!

You must wait at least 6 hours before showering so I usually will exfoliate in the shower at night. Apply it. Go to bed and wake up with a tan! It’s moisturizing with aloe vera and pomegranate so DO NOT moisturize before hand or it won’t take!

clean beauty fave five ren perfect canvas serum primer review

REN Perfect Canvas*

A lot of my issues with makeup primers are the silicones in them. They are not great for your skin and can cause acne/breakouts by trapping debris in your pores. Think of it as putting saran wrap on your face. Yes, it will be smooth but at what price. I was beyond ecstatic to try REN Perfect Canvas.

It benefits in two ways as a serum (lifts and tightens with pro-biotics) and primer (agave leaf extract smooths the skin). My foundation looks super smooth when I use it. It may be a placebo effect, but I feel like it works even when I’m having a “bad skin” day around that certain time of the month.

INGREDIENTS: Aqua (Water), Lactococcus Ferment Lysate, Glycerin, Maltose, Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside, Alpha-Glucan Oligosaccharide, Agave Tequilana Leaf Extract, Xanthan Gum, Parfum* (Fragrance), Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Benzoate, Phenoxyethanol, Citric Acid, Lactic Acid, Sodium Chloride, Glucose, Limonene, Linalool * 100% Natural Fragrance – Parfum 100% Naturel

You can use 2-3 drops and spread all over your face after moisturizing and before applying foundation. It is clear (see above pic), has a really nice smell, and feels really good on the skin. This is such a must-use especially when I’m wearing a full face. If you are in a hurry, then you can just mix it with your moisturizer!

clean beauty fave five palermo beauty vitamin c facial mask review

PALERMO BODY Vitamin C Facial Mask*

I LOVE a good face mask, and this Palermo Body Vitamin C Mask has been one my favorites. Many times, you think of face masks as “extracting” things from the skin. With the pink clay, this does pull bad things out but also delivers good things like Vitamin C (from the strawberry extract and rosehip powder).

Since it’s in powder form, you can customize it to how you like. As a traditional mask, I mix it with water to a thicker consistency and spread on my face. After it dries, I wash it off with warm water. The founder does a “minute mask” and mixes it with water to a thinner consistency exfoliates in a circular motion for 45-60 seconds and lets it dry on her face while she brushes her teeth. Then she washes it off.

INGREDIENTS: french pink clay, australian pink clay, rosehip powder*, strawberry extract, hibiscus powder*, chamomile powder*, geranium oil *organic

This past week, I bought this Ranavat Jasmine toner at the #IndieBeautyExpo and will use that instead of water for more hydrating and anti-inflammatory properties with the mask! I’ll let you know how that goes!

clean beauty fave five tata harper creme riche review

TATA HARPER Creme Riche*

Last but not least is one of my new favorites, Tata Harper Creme Riche! It’s taken the place of my evening moisturizer (Moisturizing Mask) and I LOVE it. It targets rough skin (my forehead eczema), fine lines and wrinkles (around my eyes), and dry skin (my cheeks and forehead during winter). Per usual, I love everything Tata Harper, and this is no exception. What makes it so special is how hydrating it is but it absorbs SO WELL so you don’t have a greasy feeling on your face.

You just need a pea-sized amount. Massage it in your hands until it makes a white velvet cream to activate sugars and then press it (apply it) on your face.

There are 43 high performance ingredients that hydrate and lift/plump the skin. I was lucky enough to receive a sample of this but will be purchasing it when I finish.

INGREDIENTS: Hordeum Vulgare Leaf Juice*, Cetyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Lactobacillus/Arundinaria Gigantea Ferment Filtrate, Shea Butter Ethyl Esters, Cetearyl alcohol, Jojoba Esters, Glyceryl Stearate, Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba) seed Oil, Linoleic Acid, Aqua/Water, Astrocaryum Murumuru Seed Butter*, Candelilla Cera/Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax/Cire de candelilla, Glyceryl undecylenate, Propanediol, Cetearyl glucoside, Beta vulgaris/Beet Root Extract/Extrait de racine de betterave, Hydrolyzed Avocado Protein, Calcium Ketogluconate, Caesalpinia Spinosa fruit extract, Kappaphycus Alvarezii extract, Linolenic Acid, Acer rubrum bark extract, Cassia Alata Leaf Extract, Lavandula stoechas (Spanish Lavender) Extract, Dunaliella salince (Algae) extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Camellia Oleifera Seed Oil*, Camellia sinensis (Green Tea) seed oil*, Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil*, Carthamus tinctorius (safflower) Oleosomes*, Jania Rubens Extract, Arnica montana (Arnica) Extract*, Borago officinalis (Borage) Leaf Extract*, Medicago sativa (Alfalfa) Extract*, Spiraea Ulmaria (Meadowsweet) Extract*, Calendula officinalis (Calendula) Flower Extract*, Sambucus Nigra Fruit Extract, Tocopherol, Squalane, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Saccharide Isomerate, Acacia Senegal Gum, Glyceryl Caprylate, Xanthan gum, Hydrolyzed Corn Starch, Maltodextrin, Aroma**, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Citral, Citronellol, Eugenol, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool *Ingredients from Organic farming **Clinical grade essential oils blend

Hope you loved learning about these wonderful clean beauty products. I went to the #IndieBeautyExpo at Neiman Marcus last week, and I’m can’t wait to share more with you. I’ve found some AMAZING clean products and did some damage! #Don’tTellMrS

Sorry this post was meant for yesterday, but Baby Girl has been kicking my butt with the teething. Poor girl is getting so many teeth in and she is having such a hard time sleeping (which means I’ve been having a hard time sleeping).  Also, thank you for the sweet words on my friend. She was admitted to the hospital over the weekend and is going home with Hospice today. Please continue to pray for her.

Oh so sorry to hear about your friend Sam! Will pray.

On a lighter note, I loved this post – I really need to be pickier with what I’m buying and putting on my skin. I stumbled across a natural beauty line a while back as it was on sale, it’s an Aussie one and I love the results, but there aren’t a lot of choices (just a few products) and the moisturiser isn’t great for my skin. I’m using it as a body moisturiser until it’s gone, haha. Might have only been $3 but I still won’t throw away products! I really need a hunt for the perfect moisturiser to compliment the other products – it’s a shame shea butter is too much for my skin!
