FIVE STYLE SECRETS (freebie)

Get insider access to my newsletter.

I’m forever trying to perfect the art of pattern mixing.  Awhile back, I remember reading on Vogue.com… If you can’t match it, clash it!  That’s what I did here!

top :: Prada (NM Last Call)
skirt :: Moschino Cheap and Chic (ebay)
earrings :: gifted from mom for bday
belt :: vintage Hermes (ebay)
boots :: Stuart Weitzman (Marshalls)
purse :: thrifted
I love both of these vibrant prints.  They don’t match.  So I decided to clash it!  {I tied everything together with the accessories – belt, bag, and boots.}  What do you think?
Even the earrings are a different color!

Have you ever tried to “Clash It”?  What are your rules for pattern mixing?  (Inna, I know yours and I like it!)

  1. You did a great job! That top and skirt are beautiful themselves, but pairing them together is just even better! Pattern mixing scares the crap out of me, but I have done it in small doses (stripes/florals, leopard/stripes, polka dots/stripes). That’s about all I can handle, lol! Heather

  2. You did an awesome job, love the mix of prints.

    I love mixing prints, it’s usually stripes with leopard or floral print.

  5. I’m not brave enough to mix patterns much. My wardrobe is fairly boring compared to yours. You really do have a flare for fashion. :)

  6. I agree – I love mixing and contrasting print. I went to work today with a zebra print with leopard scarf ;) My co-workers said they were dizzy looking at me, not sure if that was a good thing :) I think this outfit works for you, I think the addition of the brown belt, bag and black shoes tone it down. Your hair is beautiful in these photos!

  7. Hmmm pattern mixing, I try to keep it all within the same colour scheme. I think you did an awesome job mixing the patterns and that blouse is beautiful! Prada at your NM last call center? That is a rarity in my neck of the woods ;)

  8. I’m loving this CLASH girl!!! Daring and Beautiful! I really like this! Sam, you are inspirational girl. You’ve taken it to a new level! I am bowing to you! :D

    I love to mix prints! Usually do polka dots and floral, or leopard and stripes. You did a great job and pulled it off!

    Now following hope you do too!
