I worked my whole outfit around the very cool grey Brochu Walker asymmetrical hem sweater found on sale YOU ARE HERE. The grey tones, the hem of the sweater, and the garage entrance background made for the perfect “cool” shot. My smile took was the only thing that took away from the “cool girl” look. And so it was a struggle… because I’m NOT cool, and I’m super smiley! LOL!

Angie and I have the most fun when we are shooting for the blog! One of our favorite locations is the Kimbell, and more specifically, this parking garage entrance. The industrial look and rawness of the garage lend itself to an edgy look. This was the last outfit shot here! It totally could have been froufrou because of the puffy sleeves, but it looked cool! (Notice, I could only smirk in those photos!)

Anyhow, I was ecstatic when this beautifully constructed sweater was still left on the sale rack at one of my favorite local boutiques, YOU ARE HERE. The color is perfect, and I’m obsessed with the hem. It can be worn for work or dressed up for play. Basically, I wore this exact outfit for a going away dinner for one my friends.

THE STYLE Rx: Wearing an asymmetrical hem top shouldn’t make you feel unbalanced! Keep the rest of your silhouette slim to elongate yourself. Or you can go for a modern boho effect by wearing a wide culottes, wide-leg pants, or a maxi skirt on the bottom.

The key to wearing something with an asymmetrical hem is keeping the rest of the outfit simple. I’m wearing charcoal cropped skinny jeans, black slides, and a moto jacket. The skinny jeans balance out the “fullness” of the top, and moto jackets make everything look cool right?!

Happy Friday Friends!! Mr. S and I are going country dancing at Billy Bob’s tonight! LOL! It’s been forever! His colleague’s birthday is today, and he used to be a Texas Aggie Wrangler so that’s how he wanted to celebrate!
