IT’S THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE!! This is always a super fun time where I head to the store and do try-ons for y’all! This year is a little different, but I did get requests to cover the sale so I am doing a BEST of Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020 blog post FOR YOU! I am actually on a shopping diet! LOL! Let’s get started right away with some helpful tips since there are so many things on sale and it can get overwhelming!

TIPS FOR SUCCESSFUL NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE SHOPPING
- Evaluate what is needed in your closet or for your family then shop by section.
- Do you need to replace some basics like worn jeans, tees, or shoes?
- Are you trying to update your work wardrobe for the season?
- Do the kids need new clothes? (Every year, I buy them a new winter jacket and shoes during the NSale.)
- If something is sold out, then check back from time to time as they usually restock.
- If you are on the fence about something, then purchase it, and then you can return if it doesn’t suit your need. It’s kind of like the Costco thing, get it before it’s gone!
Now let’s get to the fun part! Here are my top selections by category!
JACKETS/ BLAZER
- Every sale, I would literally get a new BLANKNYC faux leather jacket and/or suede moto jacket. The faux leather looks like real leather and are on heavy rotation during the colder months. It’s a great deal for the price if you consider the cost per wear.
- Veronica Beard is one of my favorite women-owned brands, and there are usually wonderful blazers included in the sale. THIS ONE is a gorgeous tweed (hello Chanel vibes) and a nice investment piece if you love blazers. I love that you can add a dickey to completely change the look.
- Teddy jackets are MY FAVORITE, and I hope they never go out of season. If they do, I will still be wearing mine!
- I have this faux leather blazer (seen with the Chic Gals in this post) and love it for the Fall for Zoom meetings. So chic!
TOPS
Tops are the new black with Zoom meetings! LOL! Just kidding, but not really?! Anyhow, I’ve found some cute tops for work and even a fun sweatshirt top for lounging around the house.
JEANS/ BOTTOMS
I haven’t been wearing jeans as often, but that will likely change in Fall when it gets cooler. The NSale is the time when I try designer jeans since it’s hard for me to pay full price otherwise! I usually reach for the Good Americans (love the fit and the way they stretch), Levi’s, and BLANKNYC jeans. I’ve been wanting to try Levi’s Ribcage jeans since I have a long torso, but the ones on sale are currently sold out.
DRESSES/ SKIRTS
I have been living in dresses when I’m not sweating with the kids outside in workout clothes! I dress to make myself happy, and they are a one-and-done situation where it looks like you made an effort when you didn’t.
SHOES
This a great time to grab a new pair of booties or invest in those boots that you’ve been eyeing if they are on major sale. In the past, I’ve purchased the same booties in different colors if they were a style I loved.
LEISURE/ ATHLETIC
Are we all living in athletics & athleisure now? Here are a few picks that look cozy & comfy!
BEAUTY
Every year, this is one of my favorite categories to purchase from because the deals are amazing! I found some things that I personally own and use like the Riki Riki mirror, PMD clean, and Moon Juice supplements.
KIDS
As stated above, I get the kids new winter jackets every season as well as multiple pairs of shoes for the remaining year.
HOME
THE SUSTAINABLE STYLE Rx: Keep it simple and purchase what you would want to buy at full price. Consider whether or not you will wear it for more than one season.

Happy Monday Friends! Hope you are staying cool. It’s been in the 100s here in Fort Worth. We’ve been playing in the blow-up pool a lot this Summer. Thank you Costco! LOL! Mr. S is recovering well after surgery. He went back to work after a week off, but he was overdoing it which caused him a lot of pain. After his 2 week follow up appointment, he’s been better about taking things slower and his pain has improved. We are getting ready to start online school on Wednesday! I’ve done some online research and found some ideas to keep my youngest one busy while I have to help Little M. Wish me luck! LOL!
