The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Award Ceremony is TONIGHT. Β It’s the perfect opportunity to recap the CFDA {Fashion Incubator} + W Hotel event in Dallas I attended last month.

The CFDA {FASHION INCUBATOR} program was launched in Fall of 2009 as a business development program toΒ foster promising fashion talent and help selected designers grow and sustain their businesses in New York City. Β W Hotels has partnered with the CFDA {FASHION INCUBATOR} program to promote the designers nationally and globally. Β Dallas was the second stop on the National Tour, and I was lucky enough to attend the event on May 15th! Β Lots of fun things happening in Texas lately!
Attendees enjoys cocktails with the designers, CFDA mentor Roopal Patel, Joyann King of Harper’s Bazaar, and Buro 24/7 editor Nasiba Adilova at the swanky W Hotel in Victory Park, Dallas. Β We also experienced a dynamic presentation as a rotating group of models posed featuring the designer’s pieces set to music by an uber fabulous DJ, of course!Β AND we got to see key pieces of each collection at the different designer’s vignettes.
My favorite designer was Ari Dein. Β She is so NICE and down to earth, and JUST LOOK at her designs for intimate apparel – who knew you could look so cool sleeping or UNDER your garments?!

Unfortunately, the event was cut short because of the tornadoes and storms that hit the DFW area! Β We had to leave that floor {because we were surrounded by windows} and head downstairs… Definitely makes for a memorable night!
