Blogging is a fun job!! I love the opportunity to discover new people, places, designers, and pieces. When I found out that Elaine Turner was hosting an Alejandra Aspillaga Trunk Show in Houston this weekend, I jumped at the chance to share with y’all!! (I’ve been a huge fan of the Elaine Turner brand for a long time!)
Alejandra Aspillaga is a Peruvian designer with an eye for the dramatics in the best way possible! She creates beautiful statement pieces like earrings, necklaces, hairpieces, and clutches. The BEST thing about the jewelry is that it is LIGHTWEIGHT!! (Insert praise hands emoji here!!) I love a good statement piece but usually, will suffer whatever pain to look good (be it my earlobes or my neck wearing ~5lbs of metal). With these pieces, I look good AND feel good! No suffering for style!!

Since the earrings made such a statement, I went with an all white outfit. It’s one of my favorite combos when I can’t think of what to wear! (All black outfits are my uniform at work!) Varying the fabric and textures of each piece will elevate your look when wearing all white.
The eyelet off the shoulder top is a gorgeous piece, and I would consider it a basic because you can wear it off the shoulder or over the shoulders. Additionally, the eyelet material gives it more dimension and it’s very easy to transition for Summer. The jeans… well it’s a no-brainer. I’ve worn those jeans SO MANY times!
FIT DETAILS: (top) Size up because the elastic that goes across the shoulders runs small. I’m wearing a size medium. (jeans) Go 1-2 sizes down for NYDJ. They suck you in! (see more on this post) I’m wearing size 00 in them – totally NOT my normal size!

Aww no how horrible that they’ve gotten over the ear infections just to get something else – hope it’s short lived!
I have no tips for the big boy bedi either, we STILL haven’t converted T’s cot to a bed yet. We really need to do so soon as he’s starting to try climb…
