It’s that time again… CHIC AT EVERY AGE. This week, we bring you the statement RUCHED SLEEVE TOP!!
For those of you that have just tuned in, this fab collab is exactly how it sounds… a chic chick in her 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s shows you how to style a piece in their own way. I’m working with some of my FAVORITE gals in Dallas!!
The 20-something // Brooke of One Small Blonde
The 30-something // ME!
The 40-something // Heather of So Heather
The 50-something // Cathy of The Middle Page
Photography // Mary of So Then They Say
Cathy was cracking me up! She said that she was channeling Carmen Miranda with the puffy sleeves. I totally saw it after she said it and had to laugh. Meanwhile, I chose the pieces this month so I thought we were uber chic! Ha!
I LOVED the statement that this top makes! I thought it was sophisticated (and a wee bit sexy) at the same time. (I also got this top in white because I loved it so much!) It’s so fun to see how the gals wore it. BTW, I thought it was the perfect time to bust out those reflective cat eye sunglasses. I found them when I was supposed to be returning some items to Nordstrom. Oops!
Cathy looks divine in those gorgeous black slacks, super thick choker, and Valentino rockstuds. Heather and I both wore a velvet choker and pulled off one of the shoulders. She and I are both wearing Chanel shoes. I’m wearing slingbacks, and she has on mules. We are always on the same wavelengths! I almost wore black skinny jeans with the top, but went for the staggered hem jeans purchased from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Brooke looks fabulous in the black joggers and minimal sandals.
THE STYLE Rx: This ruched sleeve top is a fun statement piece and will work perfectly for date night, a luncheon, or girls night out. (BTW, it’s $68 but looks very similar to this designer’s $300+ tops!) It’s funny because we all wore pants, but it would be fabulous with a skirt too! I would LOVE to wear this to work but the sleeves would get stuck under my lab jacket.
Would you wear this statement ruffle sleeved top?! And how would you wear it?!
Happy Monday Friends! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Dear friend, Heather of So Heather, hosted a Sip of See for Baby MJ. With Little M, I was such a nervous wreck about everyone holding him that I kept deferring a baby shower even though all of my sweet friends kept offering to throw one for us. It’s so different with the second one, and I feel more relaxed and have a little more confidence since I’ve done this once before.

I love this look—the shirt definitely makes a statement and a fabulous one at that!!
I’d love to see you wear it with a skirt too—you could show us both outfits!!
