Happy Monday Y’all! Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!

Last month, I was working on a “secret” project and I am SO EXCITED to finally unveil it! I was SO honored and privileged to work with the Fort Worth Texas Magazine team to help style their April Spring Fashion Story. {Insert “ah hand” emoji here!!!} When I received the email from the editor, my eyes were in disbelief. Mr. S told me that I had to SAY YES!! Gulp. I’ve never styled for a magazine, only for myself and the blog. I was very honest with Kendall, and she still let me work with the crew!! #happydancexonemillion

It’s crazy to see the end results on an eight-page spread. Here’s a quick run-down of what happened behind the scenes. TWO WEEKS PRIOR. We met to discuss the concept of the shoot, possible retailers to pull from, and a tentative date. We decided on Spring Trends and left with a mood board to help inspire ideas. The FWTX team scouted the proposed location and it was set! I scouted out the retailers, some in person and some online. THE DAY BEFORE. Kendall and I met at Neiman Marcus. We both pulled items, and then I headed off to Pax and Parker then You are Here. We met at the FWTX Magazine to discuss last minute details, potential photo scenes (because the weather was not in our favor), go over hair and makeup, and confirm start time. That night, I played around with outfit ideas and shoes/accesories on my closet floor! SHOOT DAY. We started at 8:00am. The hair and makeup gals, Editor, photographer, Art Director, real estate agent were all on set. We were battling the weather (rain) and only got one outdoor shot (with the two models as seen above). We wrapped around 5pm, and then it was time to clean up! THE DAY AFTER: It was time to return all of the pieces pulled for the shoot! #firstmagazinephotoshootsuccess
