I’m totally with you- color is super important to me year round! And I use the same trick- add tights, boots, and a scarf to almost any summer skirt/ dress and you got yourself a nice Fall outfit :)

I am so jealous of your Coach Legacy bag! Is it the Ali?
That is a lovely combination of colors. Great pairing with boots.
I always love the idea of using/integrating past season clothing to the current one. There is really no need to pack and put them away at all. Where I live is not freezing cold til Jan or Feb so I van still wear summer dresses. I just layer them, add boots and accessories. Voila!
Love your mix of prints here, and the addition of the brown boots and purse. I really love boots too (I just posted about boots) and love adding boots and scarves to spring pieces to transition them into fall.
sam, looking fab!! love that skirt!!
The blast of cold air has finally reached us too Sam! I couldn’t believe it. I hate quick changes. Sam, your outfit is SUPER FUN! I need to incorporate more color in my wardrobe, because I’m thriving off of black, grey, brown and such. HAHAHA I adore everything about your outfit. :D

definitely we all shoud ad summer to fall, with flowers, colors and bright make up I think. Great post. Always followinghttp://www.thedollsfactory.com/
So true Inna! That is the recipe for a great fall outfit! :o)
Thanks Leticia! You have a great eye! It is the Ali bag- I bought it in 2006 after I passed a certification test (as my reward)!! It is one of my favorites and seems to look better with age. If you get one, make sure it is the one with the thicker straps and rainbow striped interior (this is the original). I think that Coach may have reissued the Ali (with thinner straps and different interior?). I don’t know if the same leather was used. This leather has developed a patina that looks good if it is worn.
Thank you Cara! Yes, boots are the best to transition pieces. These boots have been a lifesaver, and I’ll be sad to ever retire them! (They were $40 on sale at Dillards so I have definitely gotten my cost-per-wear out of them.)
Thanks June!! I thought the skirt was fun too – not quite as chic as your IM skirt! But still cute! :o)
Thank you Kim!! I just love the cold weather, but you are right!! Quick changes don’t give you enough time to get the right wardrobe out!! And in the past, I always wore darker colors too! I’ve been trying to change it up a little!
Thanks The Dolls Factory!! Thank you for stopping by and commenting!! Will have to say hi on your blog too! :o)
Yeah, they reissued some of the Legacy bags for the outlets. The leather on the factory bags were not nearly as nice as the original, and the lining is different (and not as pretty).
Thanks L! Good to know! I wasn’t sure about the reissue.
Love the skirt, it looks great with the striped shirt. You look gorg!
I winterize my spring outfits by adding tights, boots, a scarf and a blazer or cardi.
xo
Thanks Lilly! What a great idea – I need to add the scarf as another layer!
@ Nela! So true!! It’s the same here in Texas. Layering is the key!! :o)
Absolutely adore this look! Looks like something I’d definitely wear.
