Hello Glam Fam! 2019 has been off to a great start! My word is SIMPLIFY and I’ve tried to apply that to all aspects of my life. Also, Rachel Hollis is my Oprah and has been the catalyst to inspire me! I can’t even say how grateful I am to this amazing lady. I finished listened to the audiobook, Girl Wash Your Face, and it’s changed my life and help me find the “old Sam” which was lost. My husband has asked where she went multiple times. Sorry but not sorry if you’ve heard this before, but I feel like screaming from the rooftops. READ THIS BOOK!! Girl Wash Your Face is awesomesauce!
I’m so thankful to have every single one of you here even if it’s for 30 seconds, but I’ve felt that the blog was lacking something. I want to be more of service and helpful, like really make a difference. I’ve been praying about what my message is and it finally hit me. Yes, I do like designer bags, vintage style, and clean beauty, and it’s wonderful to share those things.
The topic that always comes up with my friends and coworkers is how I look so put together. My immediate response is usually, “It took like 5 minutes, I didn’t really do anything, I’m just wearing all black, etc.” And now I know that’s what I need to share with you! I’m a lazy girl at heart (LOL to admit it) and everything I do (especially now with Little Ones) is fast and easy. I’m talking about beauty, getting dressed, and even meals!
Even though I’m all about the quick and easy, I’m a MORE is MORE girl at heart. I love looking and feeling glam. One of my friends shared her motto -> Look Good, Feel Good, Do Good! I’ve changed it for myself -> Stay Glam, Do Good! I believe that everyone can find their inner glam (no matter what season of life) which in turn makes them feel good, and then they can do good!
So from now on, I’ll be sharing my Lazy Girl GLAM Tips and Tricks! LOL! It’s sound so cheesy, but that’s what it is! Maybe I can come up with a better name! Maybe YOU can! Anyways, I’m going to break it down easy peezy lemon squeezie for you! That’s what my Little M says all the time!

Today we are going to talk about how to dress up a t-shirt. We all have them. They’re comfy… But sometimes that’s the problem. They look comfy, and that’s the end. My solution to up that glam factor is simple. ADD AN EXTRA PIECE!
THE STYLE RX: Jeans and a tee? Awesome! Take it to the next level by adding that one extra piece!
Here are some examples of how to elevate that tee:
- Wear with a (statement) jacket. This is my personal favorite and I share more examples below. During the colder months, I throw on a fur jacket with most things.
- Add a scarf. You can wear it around your neck like a choker necklace, drape it across the front (cowbow style), or even as a belt.
- Bling with a statement necklace. The bigger the better, and a dressier necklace is so cool with distressed jeans.
- Be cool with a moto jacket. This NEVER GOES OUT OF STYLE! Think James Dean Y’all!
Let’s talk about my outfit in these pictures for a second. The foundation is the Guns N Roses tee and cropped jeans, and the ONE EXTRA PIECE is the amazing fringe jacket. I feel pretty FABULOUS in this outfit even though I’m wearing a tee! The white belt and white booties tie everything together since they match the graphic print on the shirt. VIOLA! I’m rocking a tee in a glam way!

Sam I love the focus for your blog – and it’s so helpful as you do manage to always look so pulled together! I am loving that jacket too! I’m good at adding statement kimonos in summer, but in the cooler weather I feel a little lost, maybe I need a fun jacket like this! :)
