Happy Wednesday Friends. What crazy weather is here in Texas! It works perfectly with my post since I wore this Winter Neutrals outfit during a cold day to learn about Spring Trends at Neiman Marcus Fort Worth!

You’ve heard this same song and dance before. When I’m in a rush, then I wear one color/tone from head to toe. Usually, it is black for work.

This day, I decided to go with a winter white – skinny jeans, simple tank, and fur jacket. Since I don’t have those color shoes/bag, I paired it with brown OTK boots and a larger bag. Winter white and brown work together since they are in the same color family or tone. It’s an easy and fast but polished look!

THE STYLE Rx: Winter Whites are the new black (for Spring)! Go for head-to-toe or pair with another tonal neutral like taupe, brown, or grey.

Then I was off to multiple meetings including my first event at Neiman Marcus! They always hosts fabulous events and this Spring Trends media preview was no exception. The food and decor were beautiful as you can see. I got to meet a new friend, Cheryl of The Itty Bitty Foodies. She is a momma of THREE boys and takes them on all of her food adventures. In fact, she brought them to Napa Valley! WOW, right! Anyhow, I digress.

Fashion is SO FUN, but it’s downright hard to keep up with all the trends every season when you’re busy working, being a mom, adulting, etc.! So here’s a quick recap of what Neiman Marcus Fashion Director, Ken Downing, say that you MUST HAVE for Spring 2018! Apparently, it’s the season to “Express Yourself”!

Read these next words carefully. Trends are fun but do what’s right for you! If you’ve tried statement sleeves and they make you feel silly, then pass on it. They are just trends and not a fashion bible.

• Brights – I just shot a post for y’all using a bright blazer.
• Statement Sleeves – I’m ALL OVER this one! LOL!
• Floral Dresses – easy peasy!
• Stripes 
• Soft Sunnies – This means that you can see your eyes through the lenses (like my rose colored aviators that I’m obsessed with but DON’T actually block the sun)!
• The Pointed Toe – good thing I’m a hoarder and have kept all my shoes
• Logo Bags – Have you seen those Gucci ones that have sayings?
• Rainbow Jewelry – SO HAPPY! :)
• Sparkle & Glitter Glam – this specifically applies to makeup ie. shimmery lips and glitter-coated lids BUT I am applying this to clothes! LOL!
