It’s that time again… CHIC AT EVERY AGE. This week, we’re styling a LILAC LACE TOP!
For those of you that have just tuned in, this fab collab is exactly how it sounds… a chic chick in her 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s shows you how to style a piece in their own way. I’m working with some of my FAVORITE gals in Dallas!!

Pantone’s Color of Year for 2018 is Ultra Violet! We took a hue of the purple and went for this lilac lace top! Actually, I have a confession. I do NOT like the color purple. Yes, I know I live in the land of the horned frogs, and purple is THE COLOR here! However, I wore it way too much as a young adult since our high school color was purple and that was the end of purple for me.
So, this gorgeous detailed top actually posed a challenge for me. It’s lace. It’s a pastel color. I didn’t want just wear it jeans and call it a day. I opted for a pair of pink/blush/peach wide leg flare pants, pink lace camisole (it’s see-through), and fun blush tassel earrings. Cathy called me an “Easter Egg” at the shoot! LOL! I guess I did look like one with the pastel hues! I would have been perfectly pastel if I wore it with a pink fur jacket (seen in this post)!
BTW, those pants are NOT properly hemmed and I did it with that iron-on hem tape for a temporary fix. {Seen in this post.} You’ll notice that the bottoms of the pants are now stained from brushing on the ground. :( Make this a learning lesson for yourself to get things done correctly at the tailor.
Anyhow, don’t the gals look fab as usual?! I love how Cathy wore hers with white jeans and a black blazer. It’s so fresh for Spring. Heather is a genius and wore her top backwards (she did it here too!) so the v-neck was in front with cool ripped jeans, white heels, and a light colored fur jacket. Again, it’s perfect for those chilly Spring mornings! Natalie had an edgy vibe with a black bra and raw hem jeans. I love her box bag!
How would you wear this lilac lace top?! I think it’s actually perfect for Easter! (Thanks, Cathy! LOL!)
Happy Friday and Happy Lunar New Year! Baby Girl is a little young but I want to bring Little M to see a Dragon dance! I think he would love it! We have a family friend’s funeral to attend this weekend, and then we are just hanging out. I hope y’all have a lovely weekend.

Oh that’s a fun top, adn I like the pastel outfit you made with it. Hope you get the stains out the pants hems!
Happy new year Sam! My father in law is the one who usually cooks our banquet and he is celebrating the new year (and a wedding) back home, so no delicious feast for us. There were still some red envelopes for the boys though, and they were suitably attired in red! Haven’t gone to the Dragon dance this year either, the eldest was a little scared by the loud noises last year!
