One of this season’s biggest trends is color-blocking, seen here on the runway for Gucci. I love the boldness and richness of the colors.

I decided to try the concept with some things from my closet. The top and skirt are both from my mom. She found the top at a resale shop. I love it, but hardly find the occasion to wear it!
(close up of the top – LOVE the way it ties!) |
(Trying the colors with a gold belt and nude shoes – I immediately felt like Wonder Woman with the belt.) |
This butterfly clutch is very special. It belonged to Mr. S’s aunt who passed in 2003. She was always very accepting and caring to me.

Hi Sam, I love your blog! I like how you show you interpret the trends. A lot of fashion bloggers seem to take the easy route and post cheap dupes to replace an identical runway item. Here you look great: Gucci meets Wonder Woman! Not only have you captured the color blocking, but also a kind of Grecian look I also tend to find with Gucci clothing–yet yours was MaxMara. I definitely subscribed! I hope you will consider subscribing to my blog as well. http://www.LexysCloset.com
Hi Lexy! Welcome! I try to “interpret” the trend and see what I have in the closet to make it work! Thanks for visiting and I will definitely check out your blog! :o)
