You know me and statement sleeves (or earrings or shoes)! LOL! Well, I have a love for statement sleeves and couldn’t pass up this two-toned sweatshirt. Ruffles. CHECK. Ribbon. CHECK. Drama. CHECK CHECK! Comfort. SCORE!

I don’t know why, but I’m either attracted to extremely BASIC sweaters OR super sparkly, bedazzled, ruffled, and/or dramatic statement sleeve sweaters. What the heck style personality?! As mentioned in this living room post, it was an epiphany after realizing my style was modern glam (all the craziness and drama) with the complement of zen (minimal).

Anyhow, both types of sweaters are good for a wardrobe. A simple and classic sweater will take you through the season. Accessorizing it will change the look depending on the occasion whether dressy or casual. A statement sleeve sweater dresses up the most simple outfit with minimal effort. Throw it on over jeans and Voila! You look like a million bucks.

I decided to have the sweatshirt be the center of attention by pulling my hair back, wearing it with drop earring, skinny jeans, and a pair of over-the-knee boots.

Statement sweaters can also be dressed up for work with slacks, a pleated midi skirt, or pencil skirt. Additionally, you can layer it with a sleeveless sweater for a completely different look (let the statement sleeves show through).

FIT DETAILS: I’m wearing size XL in the sweatshirt because that was the only size that they had in store, and it was too cute to pass up! Based on the reviews, it gave me more length (made it less of a cropped sweatshirt). Also, those taupe OTK boots are from Goodnight Macaroon purchased last year. The description is suede, but they are an artificial leather (not real suede) and run small so size up. I’m size 8.5 and ordered size 40. They have updated the description and size chart but want to make sure you are aware!

Happy Monday Friends! Hope everyone had wonderful holiday weekend! After Thanksgiving, we did a whole lot of nothing which is always fun! On Sunday after church, we headed to our usual spot at Central Market for lunch. Baby Girl had a major blow-out and I didn’t have a change of clothes (forgot to replace them from another time). Anyhow, playtime ended quickly after that with us leaving and Baby Girl in a diaper and sneakers! LOL!
