For those of you that just tuned in, From Grandma with Love is a twice-monthly series that is one of my faves! I’m lucky to be the recipient of my Grandmother-in-law’s beautiful wardrobe. She owned so many unique pieces, and I’ve had the MOST FABULOUS time styling it on the blog. It’s a win-win for me because I ADORE vintage and a fun excuse to wear it!

Haha Again! I shot this look last year, but it was Spring by the time I got around to posting it. So I didn’t. Here we are again with an old post!
Is there such a thing as police uniform chic?! This khaki matched set reminds me of a police or cadet uniform without the badges. Now looking at these pictures, I’m not sure why I buttoned the top all the way – it makes it look much more like a uniform. Anyways, I’m excited to show you this outfit because it demonstrates my NUMBER ONE STYLE TRICK!
THE STYLE Rx: When you can’t think of a thing to wear, then layer the same color from head to toe. Whether it’s all black (as seen here), all white (seen here), shades of grey (seen here), or khaki (as above), it will look intentional and chic (even if you just threw it together).
I promise you it works! I do this ALL THE TIME for work, and coworkers will compliment me on my outfit (when I was literally RUSHING to get out the door and threw on all black pieces)! The key is adding some fun accessories like statement earrings or a great necklace.
I challenge you to try the monochromatic look the next time you are running late. Let me know what happens!
Happy Friday Friends. Hope everyone’s week has been fabulous. My sleep, although interrupted, has been fantastic after getting a new Tomorrow Sleep mattress. It was long overdue since we last purchased one in 2005! Also, I tried something different this week with the kids. I did one Little M day and then one Baby M day. It’s a little easier when you can concentrate and give all of your attention to JUST ONE. We are headed to my friend’s funeral this weekend. I know it will be sad, but she wanted her life celebrated. A group of us have been keeping in contact since she’s been ill. Although it’s a sad reason to gather, it will be so nice to see my old friends. We all did a pharmacy residency together back in 2004. Since then, everyone has spread out with jobs and family.

Ooh I love this!! Super chic look! I never have quite the right tons of colors to do the monochromatic look this way, but I’ll definitely try it one day, haha.
The first thing I thought when I saw the outfit was a scene in White Christmas: https://youtu.be/i4c6AwTrUcg?t=55s

I love the shirt buttoned up all the way! This is such an awesome monochrome outfit! :) I’ll need to remember that tip because I’m frequently running late and I dont’ always plan out what to wear the night before!
It’s rare for me to have one on one time with my little ones but I agree it makes such a difference when you can spend time focused solely on one of them, it’s a nice way to spend the day! :)
Hope you are having a lovely weekend! We are getting our family Santa photo done tomorrow, gotta get a move on with my Christmas cards, haha! :)
