It’s that time again… CHIC AT EVERY AGE. This week, we’re styling a BELL SLEEVE DENIM JACKET!
For those of you that have just tuned in, this fab collab is exactly how it sounds… a chic chick in her 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s shows you how to style a piece in their own way. I’m working with some of my FAVORITE gals in Dallas!!
The 20-something // Natalie of The Fashion Hour
The 30-something // ME!
The 40-something // Heather of So Heather
The 50-something // Cathy of The Middle Page
Photography // Becca of Beckley & Co
This denim jacket was a challenge for me because of the shape of the flared bodice and sleeves! I decided to go with the classics and wore it with a white top (last seen here), pearl jewelry from the latest Julie Vos Fall collection, and pearl embellished jeans. I’m a huge fan of pearl ANYTHING, so my wallet has been working overtime lately with this trend! LOL!
It’s always SO FUN to see what everyone comes up with when we meet! I was curious to see how the other gals styled it since I had so much trouble myself!
Cathy looks so sporty in her striped top, skinny jeans, and slides. I love her effortless style! Heather did a great job playing with proportions in all black! Wearing all of one color is another great trick to keep you looking chic! Natalie looks so cute with that bodycon dress and her bump showing. She has such great bump style!
How would you wear this jacket?
Happy Friday Loves! Thanks for all that attended the Polished Fort Worth luncheon yesterday! And isn’t it exciting about The Shops at Clearfork opening in Fort Worth?! We’re BIG TIME now! LOL! I can’t wait to check out all of the stores. I’m doing some house updates and will be visiting Z Gallerie and MGBW for sure!
I’ve been working with Little M on a lot of projects lately. He really loves to help, and it’s a positive way to spend time with him. This four-year-old stage has been quite challenging, to say the least. He gets frustrated with his little sister and ends up screaming but doesn’t quite know how to verbalize what he is feeling. (We got “feeling cards” for that issue.) My friend, Linda, recommended a book, “Parenting with Love and Logic by Foster Cline” for disciplining with love. It just arrived from Amazon, and I’m eager to read it. Even Baby MJ has been defiant lately so we need all the help we can get!
Hope y’all have a wonderful weekend! Mr. S is covering a football game this weekend, and we’ve got more soccer for Little M.

Such a great take on double denim Sam! That’s a fun jacket with the flared sleeves :)
I love the idea of the feelings flashcards for the kids! There’s a line of books here that my mum’s used with children who have trouble expressing themselves and se we got them for toddler T when he was younger, they are really good! THey are called ‘when I’m feeling’ and are things like happy, sad, angry, scared, loved. It’s a great idea to get things like that to help them understand their emotions! Hope things get easier for you!

I finally own a denim jacket so I’m grateful for style ideas although I will have to forgo the bump unless belly fat counts
