I’m a huge fan of statement <insert clothing item here>, so it was no surprise when this statement vest came home with me the minute I saw it! How could I resist the tassels and the graphic black and white quilting? It’s a perfect piece to spice up any outfit.

I’ve already worn it with the summer dress (above), a tank and skinny jeans, and this maxi dress. It will be so cute over a black turtleneck and flare jeans or even a black bodycon dress for Fall/Winter.
THE STYLE Rx: A statement vest is a secret weapon in your clothing arsenal. Not many give respect to the vest, but it can do wonders for an outfit.
A statement vest doesn’t even have to be so “loud” to make a statement. An embellished denim vest would be great over a maxi dress. The same goes for a leather vest with a white tee and jeans or thrown over a slip dress. Or put on a fur vest over an all black ensemble for a chic look. It’s like wearing a major accessory!

Sorry for the lack of post last week. I worked just a tad more than usual but was WAY MORE behind. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. We celebrated my FIL’s birthday. It’s always so nice to have family time! My grandfather celebrated his 100th birthday this past weekend too! I didn’t figure out how to get to NY with two kiddos doing it solo but I was wishing him a happy birthday in spirit.

100 years old, what a wonderful milestone! The trip definitely would have been too much solo with two little ones, but hopefully your kids have a chance to spend sometime with their grandfather another time :)
