It’s that time again… CHIC AT EVERY AGE. This week, we’re talking SWIM COVERUPS!

For those of you that have just tuned in, this fab collab is exactly how it sounds… a chic chick in her 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s shows you how to style a piece in their own way. I’m working with some of my FAVORITE gals in Dallas!!

So, this started out as NOT one of my favorite Chic at Every Age challenges. Swimsuit coverups are hard for me, and I usually choose longer ones (that look like caftans) or “functional ones” to wear in the pool with the littles. When this button up coverup was the choice, I was kind of at a loss! After playing around with the coverup, I realized it was actually quite nice and versatile!

It can be worn as a regular button-up top with jeans or shorts in addition to a coverup. It’s hard for me to “be simple” so I wore the coverup with Alejandra Aspillaga statement earrings. They are SO LIGHTWEIGHT, it’s crazy! You’d never guess because of how large they are but it’s like almost nothing on your earlobes! I am such a huge fan of her earrings. To balance out the earrings, I wore a big and bright beach bag. I found it at Target last year. You know me and Target! LOL!

THE STYLE Rx: This button up coverup is simple but chic. Wear it as a mini dress over your swimsuit, slightly unbuttoned as an oversized boyfriend shirt coverup, or as an actual top with jeans or shorts. You can even tie it at the waist!

Let’s see what the gals wore…

Cathy chose a fun coral color and wore it with a tropical one piece swimsuit, tassel statement earrings (they’re in my cart!), and a hat. Heather looks super glamorous in her black one piece swimsuit, denim shorts, and black fedora. I LOVE the way she wore it! I chose a white cover up that will go with any swimsuit and paired it with statement earrings, a wide brim hat, and colorful beach bag. Natalie looks so cute with her bump and navy stripes on her bikini and bag! Could she be any cuter as a preggo?

We are still enjoying the beautiful weather of Seattle, but I am missing our regular food and kitchen! We don’t eat out much at home, so this is a pretty big change eating every meal out! I think the kids are even protesting Starbucks because they’re getting it so much! LOL! BTW, have you gotten anything at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale yet?

That’s a nice coverup too, similar to the kinds of shirt dresses I tend to wear to the beach. Your earrings are my fave part of your outfit though, they remind me of this beautiful embroidered cuff my bestie got me. I wonder where it is now looking at your photos – I packed all my jewelry away and haven’t gotten it all back out yet, I should try find the cuff! :)
