Hello GlamFam! I hope you and your loved ones are staying healthy and safe during this prolonged quarantine. It’s been quite a transition for all of us, and I’ve been trying to brainstorm ways to help in the best way that I can. Today I wanted to highlight some small businesses in Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and Austin that I love! They bring me so much joy and happiness and want to share that love with Y’ALL!
TRIBE ALIVE
Tribe Alive is Fort Worth sustainable brand founded by Carly to help the artisan community in other countries have a career to raise their family. I have SO MANY of their pieces that easy to throw on daily (seen here, here, and here). They are gorgeous elevated basics, and Tribe Alive will soon be spotlighted on my #GlamForGood brands!
SHERIDAN FRENCH
Sheridan French is a Fort Worth mother of 4, a friend, an ultra marathoner, and all-around amazing person! I’m lucky to call her my friend. She has beautifully designed graphics which are printed ondresses, tops, and skirts. They truly make you feel SO GORGEOUS wearing them. I literally bought almost every single one of these puff sleeve tops and have been wearing them non-stop! My MIL called it a princess top, and I like it! (I have been a fan of her designs from FOREVER ago!)
SYMBOLOGY
Symbology Clothing was founded by my friend, Marisa, to make sustainable style sexy. She empowers women in 3rd world countries to make a living by using their artistic trade. Right now, they have 30% off everything using code MEDITATE. You can read more about her in THIS #GlamForGood Spotlight POST!
BROOKE WRIGHT DESIGN
Brooke Wright Designs is a another Fort Worth gal who designs beautiful graphics and puts them on pieces such as dresses, skirts, headbands, and clutches. She has such a fun office that is a must-visit when quarantine is over! Currently, her materials are being used for masks too!
LUNA ANTIGUA
Sandra and Pamela are the beautiful Fort Worth women who founded Luna Antigua. Right now, LUNA ANTIGUA is giving back to feed families. They’ve always had a wonderful mission, but this season they are working with the Tarrant Area Food Bank to provide meals depending on the item purchased. I am wearing an example of a Guatamalen Huipil.
VINTAGE MARTINI
Vintage Martini is one of my favorite consignment shops in Dallas. They have the most unique vintage and current pieces like that gorgeous orange maxi dress I’m wearing. It’s such a fun treat to go and hunt for that special something. Now, you can shop online!
CHRISTY LYNN COLLECTION
Christy Lynn is a Houston based sustainable brand that I discovered last year! (You can see her gorgeous pieces in this POST and this POST.) For the next 30 days, #ChristyLynnCollection is donating 30% to The Southern Smoke Foundation. They provide emergency relief for the Food and Beverage Industry throughout the US! You can use code SHOPSMALL20 to take 20% off your purchase. I’m wearing a pink eyelet dress from her most recent collection in this Instagram post.
NOBLE 31
Noble 31 is a Fort Worth based three-sister company is born out of blood, marriage, and friendship. The name was inspired by the old testament passage in Proverbs 31:10-31, and they support The NET‘s initiative Purchased, which brings freedom, safety, and hope to women and girls exploited by the sex industry in Fort Worth, Texas. This is literally my FAVORITE white shirt. You can see other pieces in THIS post and THIS post.
MILK + HONEY
Can I just take a second to tell you how much I LOOOVE milk + honey? I was SO excited about their Fort Worth opening that I purchased a gift card to use before they finished building! LOL! I am SO PROUD and honored to call myself a milk & honey ambassador! I LOVE LOVE LOVE their spa (which uses all clean beauty products) and their body care. AND… they have “curated” clean goods that they care in spa and online. Besides their milk & honey face products, I have discovered amazing brands like OSEA and VIRTUE from their carefully edited products! You can use code SAM15 for 15% off any orders at milkandhoney.com! BTW, I show you how to do at an home spa in THIS POST.
ANGIE GARCIA PHOTOGRAPHY
The major of the professional photos in this blog post are taken by my friend and photographer, Angie Garcia. She is UBER talented and currently accepting photos for edit during the quarantine. I HAVE to let you know that she has presets for sale! I used a preset for the above photo since we are social distancing but I needed quality photos for a campaign!
THE Quarantine Rx: Start each day with gratitude. Think of three things that you are thankful for from the previous 24 hours. For example, I am thanking for having that time to put Baby M to sleep and her sweet kisses at bedtime.
Happy Hump Day Y’all! How are you doing? It’s been more getting used to the “New Normal” over here. Our schools have started Zoom with the teachers. The kids are getting a bit restless as the newness of “home school” and hanging out all day in PJs wears off. I am still putting on my makeup daily to keep my sanity, but I have to start meal planning better. It’s been like “tapas” for meals with a bunch of odds and ends! LOL!
Let me know if there is a specific topic that you want to hear about! Until the next post…
Thank you so much for stopping by and supporting SOS!
