Happy Friday Gorgeous friends!!! I know some of y’all are in New York for Fashion Week and some are ramping up for Valentine’s Day! I hope EVERYONE is having an amazing day. Okay, today I’m getting really honest on my feelings. Just know that you were warned!
Last night I couldn’t sleep because I was thinking about life… and the blog… and everything else. Do you guys ever wonder why you were put on this Earth? What is God’s plan is for you? I want to admit something. Every month, I feel overwhelmed and I want to quit the blog. I mean, what’s the point? Am I helping anyone? Does anyone really gain anything from this? Is this part of God’s plan? Blogging takes up a lot of time – there’s the photo shoot, the editing, the writing, the linking, the promoting. I am always trying to hustle in the morning before Little M wakes up, during his nap times, or after he sleeps {which takes away time from Mr. S} to get the blog and other stuff done. It would be so much easier if there was one thing off of my To-Do list.
And to answer some of my own questions… I did donate proceeds from the blog last year and plan on doing the same this year. That’s “helping” right? Maybe my friends who don’t live in Fort Worth get to “see me” sort of!! That’s positive I think. We plan on starting the adoption process again in the Spring, and that’s ANOTHER baby when I’m just now getting the hang of it. Kind of. Anyhow, I’ve given myself a timeline and will see where all of this goes… Thanks for letting me vent!
Okay, back to happiness and fashioness! I know that not a word, but gotta rhyme! I was really excited that Marsala was the Pantone color of 2015 because I just happened to have a matching vintage bag and newly found heels to wear. Success!
The Style Rx: Marsala yourself this year! It’s easy to do. Wear it head-to-toe for a editorial chic look or accent yourself with marsala accessories {as I’ve done}. It’s goes beautifully with many colors like camel, silver, black, white, grey, you name it! If it’s a little too much for you, try a marsala colored lip! You don’t have to commit!
Do you have an Marsala pieces in your wardrobe? How do you wear it? … And what are your thoughts about keeping up with life or your own blog? Love you guys! Again, thanks for letting me get that off my chest!

Thanks Meg!
I still have the burgundy/oxblood pieces from previous years so I’m pleased I can rock them again and be ‘trendy’ still this year, close enough to marsala, haha!
I for one am glad you’re blogging! It’s nice to read a little more about you and your life each post, and you are a very stylish lady!
But I know exactly how you feel about blog and baby, it’s been on my mind a lot too. Not sure what I’m going to do with it all, but taking a quick photo before I got out for the day has become an ingrained habit now so I’m keeping that up for the time being. The promotion side of things has been slacking lately, as has emails..but I’m still managing to get my posts out so I’m not doing too badly. Who knows how it will go when I head back to work!

Thank you Mica! You are so good about sharing details of your life, and I realize that I don’t do that as often. That was a recent “thing” that I’ve decided to do.
It’s so good that you’ve ingrained the habit to snap a pic of your outfit before headed out the door, and I think you’re doing great with all the blog post! Hopefully, it will be easy breezy when you head back to work. You’re probably more organized than I am!
It sometimes feels like a new ball is added in the juggling mix (when things pop up) and I’m not able to keep up. And I was really tired when I wrote the post so I was feeling very emotional! Thanks for always being so supportive! xx
I don’t think anyone can truly be organised with a baby in tow, ha! :)
it is hard when you feel like you’ve got everything balanced and working and then a curve ball comes at you and upsets it all and you have to try and find time for new things…but you can do it! And when it stops being fun, that’s the right time to re-evaluate. You want to get something out of it too!

Hi Sam–I will miss you if you quit blogging. I have learned a lot about style from you, and gotten many outfit ideas.
But I would never presume to tell you to keep blogging to give me ideas about what to wear! You sound tortured right now, and I’ll respect any decision you make.
Hi Julie!
Thank you so much. I am lucky that I get to “juggle blogging” in the mix of life, but I need to make sure I keep up with everything else. I’m glad that you can get outfit ideas (hooray)! And I really appreciate your support! I plan on blogging for a time (have a time in my head) and then will re-evaluate how things are going then! Again, you are so sweet for taking the time to comment! Thank you.
Sam, I literally go to your blog and view your instagram to get inspiration for what to wear almost every week! You have close to 3 thousand people that love what you do! It helps us gain confidence and we can look in the mirror and say “I can wear this!” I know that you have the passion and goals and so far, so good! You’ll end up front row at NYFW in no time.
Thank you Angie!! That really means a lot and I appreciate your support! I’m glad we’ve found each other!
Just Stunning Sam!

I guess if you stop blogging about women’s fashion, you could blog about children’s fashion and child care items. As an incredible mother, you have put in a lot of time researching it all.
But I must confess to loving your blog.
