Everything is better when you’re wearing rose colored glasses! I was hoping that my outfit would look better too. Wouldn’t it be great if you could put on a pair of rose colored glasses for a bad fashion day? And I’m sure you noticed mr. franklin photobombing again!

Kensie dress / F21 vest /  Coach wedges / made, Premier, and gifted necklaces / LV bag / Karen Walker sunglasses

Mr. S and I planned a date night last night to discuss some things going on in our lives.  {It’s crazy when you have to schedule an appointment for a discussion with your significant other.}  We talked about everything from jobs to family and how certain issues have affected our moods lately.  One thing we both agreed on is the importance of accepting and embracing the journey of life.  It can be a roller coaster sometimes, but I think that all experiences, good or bad, make a person who they are.  We are in a good place right now, but it’s easy to forget the priorities in life as we get busy.  And life seems to get busier and busier.
So I leave you with some happy thoughts for the weekend…

If you are wondering how I did the ombre effect for the pictures, you must check out Katrina’s blog Pugly Pixel.  And those super fun graphics… you guessed it again – Pugly Pixel!

Lovely post – rose coloured glasses can be essential some times! Sorry to hear your life is so hectic, hope the chat with your DH helped.

Really like your lovely outfit :) And Franklin looks so thoughtful. Perhaps he is contemplating rose tinted glasses too?

Cute outfit! And I love this Sam :) Life does seem to keep getting busier and busier and I find myself stressed and not finding time to remember to embrace the journey!

I love your outfit – so simple and romantic. I agree – life is a journey and sometimes you just have to sit back and enjoy the ride (as much as possible anyways). And I adore Franklin – he’s the cutest photobomber in the blogosphere :)

  8. Niki says:

Great advice, Sam! And I think your outfit is adorable!! Ups and downs are a part of marriage. I think as long as the ups outweigh the downs, then you’re doing A-OK! I had mostly downs in my first marriage, but now I couldn’t be happier with my husband of almost 2 years (we’ve been together 5).
