Hello Glamfam! It’s time to dig through that jewelry box because today we’re talking all about how to wear mixed metal jewelry! Once upon a time, it may have seemed like a major fashion faux pas to wear a gold bracelet with a silver ring but that’s not the case anymore! I have been asked many times if mixing metals is “allowed” when it comes to styling an outfit, and my answer is always YES! There are plenty of ways in which you can incorporate gold and silver tones into your accessories without them clashing.

HOW TO WEAR MIXED METAL JEWELRY

When you’re considering how to wear mixed metal jewelry keep in mind that no matter what pieces you choose, mixing metals is allowed AND it can be pièce de résistance that your outfit needs! One of the easiest ways to mix metal jewelry is by layering pieces on top of, or next to each other. For example, I love to stack several gold and silver bracelets on each wrist and find that they always complement each other while also creating interest. This ring stack is one of my favorites and it’s a great example of how different gold tones can mix and also look super chic! When it comes to necklaces you should also choose varying lengths as well as metals to avoid tangling and for a more stylish look as well. This necklace is a common pick for me and it pairs perfectly with this mixed metal piece! 

Try Pre-Mixed Metal Jewelry

I know that if you’re not used to accessorizing in this way it can be daunting. But don’t worry, if you’re hesitant to mix your metal jewelry then opt for a piece that’s already mixed! My favorite Rolex watch is a great example. I love the way the gold and stainless steel complement each other and the overall look of this watch is so chic! You can find plenty of necklaces, bracelets, rings, and earrings that have already been designed with mixed metals. I especially love this necklace set that features 3 different chains with mixed metals and varying lengths as well!

Happy Wednesday GlamFam! I’ve missed you! It’s been busy over here with the Littles back in school! After school activities equate to an Olympic sport as we head from pick up to the ballet school parking lot, do homework in the car, and then go into ballet – get changed – my daughter does ballet. I finish homework with my son. Last night, we had curriculum night. And then there is dinner, bathtime, then bedtime. Whew! I’m tired writing it out!
