Happy LOVE Day Y’all!! We went over to JOY Macarons at The Shops at Clearfork when we were shooting the last From Grandma with Love. It is the CUTEST place, and the macarons are YUM-MY!!! And actually, they matched my outfit so it was a perfect time to get some fun shots for Valentine’s Day!

It also happens to be Ash Wednesday which starts the Lenten Season! We, as a couple, have decided to give up Netflix shows since WE ARE ADDICTED! They were reserved for weekend nights but starting bleeding into weeknights = staying up too late and being tired the next day. We said that it’s okay to watch Netflix movies on the weekend! Wish us luck!
Personally, I am going to give up free reign to checking social media. I heard the saying that you should be checking in with God as many times as you check your phone. So, I want to be more intentional with my time and schedule times for social media. Additionally, I’m trying to come up with one more thing to do or give up for Lent. Dr. Italy spoke at Saint Patrick Cathedral, and I bought his book 40 Days, 40 Ways: A New Look at Lent for a new approach for the season. The first part is a list of 40 things that you could try for Lent (instead of giving up chocolate), and he challenged us to look over the list and pick 3 items to do.
The last thing I’m doing is going through the Best Lent Ever Journal from Dynamic Catholic. It another way to incorporate daily readings from the Bible to start the day off right!
