The sun came out to play, and my smile is here to stay! I don’t if it was the ice cream, the sunshine, or the bright yellow wall that made me smile from ear to ear. It’s likely the chandelier earrings, flare jeans, and platform wedges. Those are my jam, and I can’t help but feel like a 70s vixen. Mr. S says that I dress like I came from another era! When I’m smiling THAT BIG, it’s not always the most flattering {notice the triple chin} but at least I’m happy! But seriously, I was on Cloud 9 when the Spring Trend report forecasted flare jeans. AAAAAAAAHHH! {That’s my angel singing voice!}
Don’t get me wrong, I love my skinny jeans but not when I’m having one of those days when I feel like I’m a 20 pound sac of flour in a 10 pound bag. You know what I mean?! And if the proportions were off, then it was a case of the stuffed sausage look. Haha! All of those metaphors relate to food… which is the problem!
Anyhow, the whole outfit was centered around a new pair of Elaine Turner wedges AND my DL1961 JOY flare jeans. A boho vibe took over and here you go! An off-the-shoulder ruffle top would have been darling, but that doesn’t exist in my closet so this white batwing top had to suffice. Don’t you love those Kendra Scott earrings? They were designed specifically for the Fort Worth Junior League as a fundraiser for the Rodeo!

Thanks Meg!!
BTW, that cashmere cape is so beautiful!
Love how well you wear your flared jeans! :) I’m starting to ease back into heels for the office so I might be able to do the flared jeans look this time around – although I’m not sure on pairing heels with baby duties while I’m still getting used to them, haha! From memory all y flared jeans require heels :(
Also – you look amazing in all these pics! I couldn’t see one that looked unflattering, after I read your comment I had so scroll back up to see what you were talking about, and nope you look stunning and happy in all these pics!

Wedges are really great for easing into heels bc they are comfy, but only if they have a wide heel base when you’re with Baby T. {Some of mine are really skinny and the equivalent to wearing stilettos – not stable!} I have some flares that are shorter and I can wear lower heels/flats {but the bottoms skim so that part isn’t the best}.
And thanks Mica! I’m pretty self conscious about my smile that turns into a laugh. It gets kind of “Beavis and Butthead” like bc my face gets a squinty and multiple chins appear!! :)
Wow, love your blog and that outfit and yellow background is killer. And you make wearing layered necklaces so flawless. For some reason I can never pull it off ;(!
Chiara
Thank you Chiara!! Layering necklaces is fun, but it does take some effort! It really helps when the necklaces are different lengths! So glad you stopped by to say hello and hopefully I get to meet you at one of the DBC events! :)
