One of my favorite things about blogging is learning about new designers, and I’m thrilled to introduce you to the brand Ruti. I met the designer at her namesake luxury boutique, Ruti, in Northpark Center. Her boutique carries elevated basics by her own design as well as other Israeli designer pieces/accessories and United Nude shoes (architecturally STUNNING shoes). She is all about three things in design (which I COMPLETELY agree with): It must be COOL, PRACTICAL, and FLATTERING. Um, you had me at all cool. LOL!

I’m Not Like a Regular Mom. I’m a Cool Mom! LOL! I love “Mean Girl” quotes, and that one cracks me up! I admit. I DO want to be the “cool mom”, and her clothes make me feel just that way! I had a field day trying on pieces at the store and ended up purchasing items for myself AND my mom. You may have caught my Ruti Try-On Session on Instagram Stories.
I gravitated toward the architectural pieces that are easy to care for but still sophisticated and chic. Elevated basics that become instant wardrobe staples are the best. I love it EVEN MORE when they are comfortable AND I can wear these basics with the kids!
The above grey asymmetrical top happens to be 100% linen (a material that I LOVE) and comes in three different colors. I’ve worn that top so many times already including a playdate at the park. It’s a tee, but the asymmetrical sleeves give it an elevated look and VOILA! You’re dressy (even if you’re in a tee)! I also got the oversized stripe tee for the same reason!
The high-waisted pinstriped pants are so comfortable and easy to wear casually or to work. I got size 0 (normally a size 26 in jeans) for a more relaxed fit. They are also linen blend and would be cute with a black tank and embellished sandals for the hotter months or an oversized grey sweater with these random cold fronts.
THE STYLE Rx: Don’t be like a regular mom. Be a cool mom (wearing Ruti)! LOL! All joking aside, these elevated basics will make you feel confident and like a “cool mom” if that’s what you want to be!

Happy Wednesday! We’re back from Colorado! Of course, at least ONE person has to get sick when we go on vacation. It started with Baby M and now I also have it! (I’m not sure what IT is but achy, fever, coughing up a lung, sore throat, head congestion, and just plain exhausted!)
